Chapter 109

Chapter 109

The hotel’s level of soundproofing was moderate.

Cindy’s booming voice echoed so loudly that it quickly elicited the sounds of approaching footsteps.

The door diagonally opposite her flung open, revealing a slightly plump man who gazed at her with uncontained. enthusiasm

It was clear that the man had intended to record the moment as he held up his phone in preparation.

“Drag her in.” Elizabeth commanded as she signaled the bodyguards to drag Cindy into the room.

As she surveyed the chaos unfolding before her, Elizabeth could only ignore the plight of Andrew and Jayla Mendes.

“Help, murder!” Cindy cried out desperately as she writhed on the ground, skillfully dodging the bodyguards with every roll

and twist

Cindy had grown all too accustomed to being a mistress, and enduring the beatings from the wives had become clockwork.

As such, she had already developed her unique methods to deal with such situations.

Elizabeth’s eyes glinted with disdain as she looked at hysterical Cindy and said coldly, “Don’t you know some restraining techniques? Dn’t show sympathy for someone just because she appears delicate.”

“Yes, Mrs. Hayes!” The bodyguards responded in unison.

After all, professional bodyguards were different from pampered madams.

One of the bodyguards looped his arm around Cindy’s neck while the other scooped her legs and hauled her back into the

room

“Hey, you guys…. Some of the bystanders could not help but intervene.

Despite their desire to interfere, the onlookers could not help but cower in fear as they were met with the bodyguards‘ intense stares.

After being carried back to the room, Cindy was ruthlessly thrown to the ground.

Elizabeth gazed at Cindy, who was about to cause another commotion, with a hint of amusement. With a quick twist of her wrist, Elizabeth uncapped a bottle of mineral water and poured the entire bottle on Cindy’s face, drenching her from head to toe. “That was pretty impressive,” Elizabeth remarked with a smirk.

“Ah!” Cindy’s scream pierced through the air as she curled into a ball in fear.

Satisfied that Cindy had finally learned her lesson, Elizabeth gestured for her bodyguards to retrieve Jayla. Jayla, who had been feigning unconsciousness since the beginning, was unceremoniously thrown next to Cindy.

As Elizabeth approached Andrew, her heart sank at the sight of his malicious gaze.

She silently sighed, “He has relapsed.

“This relapse is even worse than the one before.

“These two women deserve to die!”

Although Elizabeth despised the women, she knew she had to prioritize Andrew at that moment..

She pushed aside her hatred and knelt by Andrew’s side. She held his hand and reassured softly, “Andrew, don’t be afraid. “I’m Elizabeth Hayes. You’re safe now. No one can hurt you while I’m here. Just relax and don’t be nervous, okay?”

However, Andrew’s expression remained unchanged.

Elizabeth cradled Andrew in her arms, holding him close as he whispered gently into his ear, “Don’t be afraid, Andrew You’re safe now.

I’m here with you. No one can harm you. They’ll all pay the price for their actions.”

Elizabeth reiterated that she was by his side, wanting Andrew to realize he was no longer the helpless boy trapped and forgotten.

It was unclear whether Elizabeth’s words had any effort or if Andrew was becoming more lucid, but he suddenly spoke, “They spiked the wine. I feel weak all over. Help me up, and take me to the hospital”

“Alright,” Elizabeth replied, her sunken heart slowly lifted. She took a deep breath before instructing the bodyguards, “Send him to the hospital. I will stay to deal with them.”

Andrew refused, “Wait. I will accompany you.”

Andrew’s unexpected offer took Elizabeth aback. She studied his now–gentle eyes for a moment and then nodded in agreement. “Alright.”

Chapter 109

Although Elizabeth initially prioritized sending Andrew to the hospital, she realized he needed closure. Observing the fates of the two women might help him come to terms with what he had endured.

Jayla, who had been silent all this time, suddenly burst into laughter after seeing the harmonious atmosphere between Andrew and Elizabeth.

Jayla’s laughter turned into hysterical shouting as she pointed an accusing finger at Andrew, “You’re such an idiot. Do you believe everything he says? He paid us to be here! He asked us to accompany him!”

Perhaps Jayla believed she could convince the others that she was telling the truth by shouting.

Elizabeth turned around, facing Jayla with a ferocious expression. She shook her head and rebutted firmly. “There are surveillance cameras in the bar.

“The surveillance footage captured that the two of you approached him first and even took his phone out of his pocket.

There’s something I am curious about. Did the person who hired you ask you to seduce him or take something from him?

“But it doesn’t matter. I’ll know the answer when I send you to the police station.”

“Nonsense!” Jayla exclaimed, her voice tinged with guilt. “He was the one who paid me. It’s him….…..”

Elizabeth interrupted her and gestured to the bodyguards, saying, “Get her to shut up.”

Instantly, one of the bodyguards sprang into action and grabbed a towel from the bathroom. He hurriedly stuffed the towel into Jayla’s mouth, preventing her from making more noise.

The bodyguard’s swift and decisive actions sent a shiver down Cindy’s spine, and she apologized anxiously, “I’m sorry!

“We’re just blinded by lust. We didn’t have other motives. Please let us go.”

“I don’t believe it. Elizabeth replied.  S~ᴇaʀᴄh the FɪndNøvel.ɴᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Elizabeth assisted Andrew in sitting on the bed before walking over to Cindy. She touched Cindy’s face with her fingertips and noticed foundation residue under her nails. With a disgusted look, she flicked her nails and remarked, “You should count yourselves lucky.

“If you succeed in your plans today, I’ll make sure you suffer a tragic and dishonorable death.

“Okay, now tell me the truth. Who sent you?”

“No,” Cindy responded adamantly, sticking to her story. “We just saw him drinking alone in the bar, so we thought we’d take him out for some fun. I mean, he looks so-

Elizabeth chuckled, interrupting her, “He’s been in the room for such a long time, but none of you have touched him.

“Why is that so? Did you suddenly regain your vision after being lined to his presence?”

Cindy gritted her teeth and continued to make up her story. “I’ve never met him before, so…”

“Well, if you’re unwilling to cooperate, then that’s your choice,” Elizabeth said as she stood up. She glanced at Cindy and Jayla before turning to her bodyguards, ordering. “Go get a syringe and exchange a tube of blood between them.”

“No!” Cindy shouted as she jumped to her feet, attempting to dash out the door.

On the other hand, Jayla remained remarkably composed.

Elizabeth observed their reactions intently, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips, and she smirked, “Interesting.

“Your aim wasn’t to tarnish his reputation or rob him. You intended to transmit your illnesses to him, isn’t that right?

“Looks like you’ve had quite the adventure. That’s not too bad. When you’re in the police station later, you’ll have a free meal and a place to stay.

Cindy’s eyes widened in horror when she heard Elizabeth’s words. Pushing the bodyguards blocking the door, she tried out, “No! Let me go!”

She was desperate to make some money and never intended to end up in jail.

“Spill the beans. Who’s the one who hired you?” Elizabeth asked as she scrutinized Cindy, who hesitated for a moment. On the other hand, Jayla remained composed. Noticing the difference in their behaviors, a sudden realization dawned on

Elizabeth.

Silently, she reasoned, “Between the two women, Cindy seemed to be the one who knew more. However, her reluctance to speak indicated that getting information from her would be a challenge.”

Elizabeth observed the women’s microexpressions and body language, searching for any indications of deceit or evasion. Satisfied that she hadn’t overlooked anything important, she immediately instructed the bodyguards to contact the

authorities.

She thought, “It would be impossible to extract the truth from the two of them without using any hypnotic techniques.

Chapter 109

Then, why bother? It is best to leave it to the professionals. Even if they were incarcerated, they deserved it.

“Andrew would have been in big trouble if I arrived any later.

“As for letting them go, dream on.”
