Chapter 15 

After so many years apart, Elizabeth became more and more beautiful. 

Henry had never seen her in a traditional dress before. He had thought that she was a standard classical beauty with a pretty and charming face. but he didn’t expect she would be so exquisite in this traditional dress. She had a gorgeous figure, and her fair arms and slender ankles made him want to touch them. 

“Hello, Elizabeth.” Henry smiled and greeted her after listening to Benjamin’s introduction. 

Henry’s tone of voice made Elizabeth uncomfortable, but in front of Benjamin and Andrew, she could not be angry. She touched the hair around her ear and smiled at Henry. “Hi, Henry.” 

Her red lips were slightly opened, and her voice was clear as she coldly spat out the extraordinarily sarcastic greetings.

He thought, “She has changed and is no longer the little girl who used to cry at the slightest aggravation. 

“She’s grown up and has thorns, but she’s also more interesting.” 

The few of them had a meal in the Hayes’s residence. Elizabeth also specifically accompanied Benjamin to play chess after he had eaten. Henry spent some time with Andrew in the study, and Andrew was about to take her back after he came out. 

“It just so happens that I didn’t drive here. Andrew, can you give me a ride?” 

Henry smiled and stepped in front of Andrew. 

Andrew frowned and glanced at Elizabeth, finding that she had been staring at an ancient painting on the living room wall, not looking this way at all. So, he shook his head. “I’ll let the driver give you a ride. Elizabeth is not feeling well these days, so I’ll take her home early to rest.” 

Henry raised his eyebrows and swept Elizabeth a glance. Her face was rosy, and she looked docile, not looking uncomfortable at all. 

“Haha. It’s okay. Tomorrow, a friend has organized a welcome home party for me. Andrew, you must come with Elizabeth.” 

“Okay.” 

This time, Andrew nodded his head and agreed. 

Elizabeth snapped her head up and saw Henry still looking at her. He stared at her with undisguised aggression and ferocity as if she was his prey that he was about to kill. 

Elizabeth quickly averted her eyes and followed Andrew out of the house. 

Half an hour later, the car returned to the villa. 

Andrew got out of the car first, went around to Elizabeth’s side, and opened the car door for her. 

Elizabeth was a little distracted and did not even notice Andrew. She got out of the car directly, and before she could take a few steps forward, Andrew caught her around the waist and pulled her into his arms. 

“What’s wrong?” Elizabeth asked. 

She snapped back to her senses and looked up at Andrew, only to find Andrew was looking at her with meaningful, probing 

eyes. 

Elizabeth immediately became nervous. 

“What’s your relationship with Henry?” Andrew asked coldly. 

“Huh?” 

Elizabeth thought, “He could tell?” 

Elizabeth pursed her lips and said inwardly, “I haven’t looked at Henry all night. How the hell did Andrew find that?” 

“Answer me.” Andrew said. 

Andrew lifted her chin with his long, cold fingers, forcing her to look up at him. He was inexplicably annoyed, and even a fool could see that Henry’s eyes had been on Elizabeth all night. 

Even Benjamin looked at her twice more, but Elizabeth herself did not react in the slightest. 

“Uh, college alumni,” Elizabeth said. 

Henry was two years her senior, and when they were in a relationship, she would walk through a large playground to 

Henry’s department and bring him breakfast. At that time, many students laughed at her, saying that most girls were waiting for the boys to be attentive to them, but she was the polar opposite. 

“Is that so?” Andrew asked.

She was not in a good mood, so she naturally spoke a little impulsively. She broke free from Andrew’s arms and went straight to the second–floor bedroom after getting into the house. 

“My ex–boyfriend is my current husband’s cousin. This is fucking ridiculous!” Elizabeth said deep down. 

Elizabeth did not sleep well all night and did not get up from bed until after one o’clock the next afternoon. Andrew did not go to the office, and instead, he sat in the hall, relaxing in the sun, with his laptop in front of him. 

She suddenly remembered that Andrew’s face was a bit ugly when she turned around and left yesterday. 

But now, Andrew looked like nothing was wrong. 

Elizabeth casually freshened up, ate something, and prepared to take care of some things. 

Andrew, who hadn’t been looking at her, suddenly raised his head and said, “The clothes are delivered. Go and try them on.” 

Elizabeth froze. “Clothes? What clothes?” she thought. 

“The clothes to wear in the evening,” Andrew added. 

Andrew waved, and the butler immediately led Elizabeth to see the dress that had just been delivered. It was a black. tight–fitting gown, and next to the gown, there was a black man’s tuxedo. 

That must be Andrew’s. 

Why did Elizabeth feel that these two pieces of clothing were so much like matching couple’s clothes? 

“This is the gown Mr. Andrew specially asked someone to send over.” 

Seeing that Elizabeth was not as happy as expected, the butler whispered an explanation. 

Elizabeth pursed her lips. 

She thought. “Well, men are all vindictive creatures. 

“He sure didn’t believe that Henry and I were just alumni, so he secretly prepared the matching clothes of a couple. 

“He is so mean!” 

Elizabeth changed into the gown. It was a good fit, highlighting her fair skin and making it even more delicate, and her exquisite curves made it impossible for people to move their eyes. 

When Andrew saw it, his eyes lingered on her for a long time before he moved away. 

“Let’s go.” Andrew, who had already changed his clothes, stretched out his arm toward Elizabeth, signaling her to take his hand. Elizabeth smiled inwardly and stepped forward to take his hand before the two of them set off together. 

Henry’s welcome home party was not a large one, but many of the guests were popular stars and rich heirs, so the scene looked very lively. 

Henry was dressed in a pure white suit and was holding a glass of red wine in his hand while chatting with people. As soon as he saw Andrew and Elizabeth, he immediately greeted them, and his eyes fell on Elizabeth. 

“Andrew, Liz, you’re here.” 

“Call her Elizabeth.” Andrew’s voice was cold and icy,
