Chapter 28

At the thought of this, she felt the suffocating frustration spread from her heart to her limbs, causing her entire body to feel bad. 

Andrew glanced sideways at Elizabeth, and his hand on the steering wheel couldn’t help but pause. He saw such a fragile expression on the woman’s face for the first time. 

It seemed that she had experienced something unpleasant at the Clarke’s house just now. 

Just as Elizabeth was worried about her mother’s situation, a pair of strong, powerful hands suddenly approached her. 

Before she could react, she found herself in Andrew’s warm and sturdy embrace. 

His handsome face was now magnified and reflected in her eyes. 

Elizabeth was so shocked by his sudden approach that her beautiful eyes widened, and she could not help but roast inwardly. “What was wrong with this man? 

“Why was he suddenly getting so close?” 

She opened her mouth and was about to ask why Andrew suddenly did so when the sound of the seat belt clicking suddenly rang in her cars. 

“Why don’t you wear your seat belt? Don’t you want to live anymore?” 

After Andrew finished speaking, he sat up straight and widened the distance between himself and Elizabeth.

“Thank you,” said Elizabeth to Andrew. 

Elizabeth regained her composure. Her cheeks turned red due to embarrassment. It turned out that it was all in her head just now. 

Andrew narrowed his pretty eyes and stopped speaking. He started the car engine and steered the steering wheel slowly. toward the front.

She opened her mouth and wanted to ask Andrew where he was taking her. But after a pause, she didn’t say anything. 

About ten minutes later, the car stopped by the river. 

There were many small freesias planted on the roadside by the river. When the breeze blew, it carried a faint fragrance of flowers, and everything was so quiet and beautiful. 

“Let’s go and take a walk.” 

Andrew’s pleasant voice rang out in the carriage. 

“Oh… fine.” 

Elizabeth nodded and unfastened her seat belt. Then she opened the car door and got off the car.

Andrew lowered his head and looked straight into Elizabeth’s clear eyes. The air was filled with a few clusive emotions. 

“Do you remember the two conditions you promised me before? Can I propose the second condition to you now?” After spending the days together. Andrew’s personality and attitude toward things had given her an inexplicable sense of security. 

She had hesitated to ask Andrew to help her find her mother together. 

She always felt that there was something wrong with it before. So she hadn’t said anything about it. 

However, she had the urge again to entrust Andrew to do it now. 

Although she didn’t know if Andrew would agree to her condition, she still wanted to give it a try. 

“Just say it,” Andrew said calmly. 

“I want you to help me find my biological mother. She fell seriously ill and disappeared without any reason back then. I originally thought she had passed away. But just now, I heard from Kaida that my biological mother might still be alive. However, I don’t trust Kaida. So can you do me this favor?” said Elizabeth genuinely. 

Her amber eyes were filled with sincerity and earnestness. 

“Okay. Tell me all the information you know about your mother, and I’ll send someone to help you find her.” 

Andrew nodded and agreed to Elizabeth’s request. 

Elizabeth was stunned for a while. She didn’t expect him to agree so readily. She was immediately touched by Andrew’s 

actions. 

“Andrew, thank you!” Elizabeth said to Andrew. 

This was the second time she had thanked him tonight. She didn’t usually say it very often. But when it came to Andrew, she was willing to say it. 

Andrew’s gaze touched Elizabeth’s sparkling eyes. He couldn’t help but recall what Peter had said in his mind. Thinking of this, he furrowed his beautiful eyebrows and immediately withdrew the last hint of the smile from his face. 

Upon realizing that Andrew’s emotions had changed again, Elizabeth immediately remembered his indifferent expression toward her when he finished work in the evening. 

He seemed to have something on his mind. 

He comforted and helped her a lot just now.
