“No problem.”

Chapter 36

Elizabeth nodded heavily, reaching an agreement with Andrew

He had helped her too much these days. She initially thought he was just a piece of driftwood that happened to appear when she was drowning. But it turned out he was more like a perfect first aid kit. Not only did he rescue her from the water, but he also provided her with the oxygen she needed to survive and the healing balm to mend her wounds.

“Alright, now you go back and think about the treatment plan. Leave the rest to me,” Andrew said, releasing his grip and returning to his desk.

He opened the files on the table and carefully examined them.

Elizabeth gazed steadily at the man across from her. Somehow, she felt that something in her heart had grown stronger and more resolute.

In the following days, Elizabeth immersed herself in the study and tried to devise a treatment plan for Andrew’s misogyny.

Whenever she was inspired, regardless of whether Andrew was working or reading, she approached him with her treatment tools. And each time, Andrew cooperated wholeheartedly.

Perhaps out of gratitude or because they enjoyed each other’s company too much, Elizabeth responded to any negative emotions Andrew showed during the treatment process with nothing but gentleness and patience.

During this time. Elizabeth intentionally or unintentionally exposed Andrew to several women from the Hayes family, including older relatives, cousins of the same generation, and a few long–serving maids in the Hayes family, gradually increasing the closeness and duration of their interactions.

At first, Andrew was very resistant and left after exchanging a few words with his cousin.

However, in the middle of the process, Elizabeth stood by his side, encouraging and soothing him. Finally, slowly, he managed to spend about five minutes alone with his cousin.

Later, he engaged in discussions about work with several senior female colleagues in the company. Then, finally, he sat in the main seat, facing these familiar yet unfamiliar faces, and for the first time, he managed to get through it.

Toward the end, he could tolerate the presence of the women he had interacted with during these days standing beside him for a while.

Though he could only tolerate them briefly, it marked a small victory.

Elizabeth was sitting alone in Andrew’s office, watching the surveillance footage on the computer screen while glancing at her wristwatch. The longer the time passed, the more evident the smile in her eyes became.

Andrew had been conversing with his distant aunt in the reception room for almost ten minutes.

Although his expression grew increasingly uncomfortable as time passed, at least he had not displayed any overt signs of disgust toward the aunt. For Andrew, achieving this level was very good.

After ten minutes, Andrew finished discussing the final details with his aunt and watched her leave the room.

As soon as his aunt left, Elizabeth eagerly pushed open the office door and immediately sought out Andrew.

“Andrew, you were amazing! You managed to endure and not leave throughout the entire conversation!”

Elizabeth’s joy at the significant progress in his treatment was evident in her words. Unable to contain her excitement, she approached him and firmly grasped his large hand.

Andrew lowered his head and saw her bright eyes. His initially tense expression gradually softened. He was like a traveler who had found an oasis in the desert, finally able to relax.

“This proves that I’m not averse to the women in my family. But don’t forget about the secretary 1 dismissed yesterday morning, Andrew reminded her.

“But you’ve made so much progress. It’s a long process, and it can’t be completely cured in just a few days. We have plenty of time ahead of us, so don’t be too impatient,” Elizabeth said, extending her other hand to pat Andrew’s shoulder, offering encouragement without realizing how close they were standing.

Andrew glanced down at the fair and delicate hand holding his, feeling the warmth and smoothness as it covered his hand. Immediately, his gaze mechanically lifted and fixed on Elizabeth’s moving red lips.

He did not quite catch what she was saying, but he thought her small mouth looked adorable.

He wondered what it would taste like if he were to give it a quick peck.

Andrew was a man of action, and the moment this thought crossed his mind, his body swiftly followed suit.

That’s alright. We can try again tomorrow…”

Chapter 86

Before Elizabeth could finish her sentence, the light in front of her suddenly dimmed. She froze momentarily, not yet comprehending what was happening, as Andrew’s lips pressed against hers.

In the next second, his strong hands wrapped tightly around her slender waist, intensifying the kiss.

Although inexperienced, men were instinctive when it came to matters like these.

Elizabeth was taken aback by the sudden kiss, her eyes widening in surprise. However, when Andrew’s warm breath and the intense scent of masculinity enveloped her, her previously steady heartbeat became erratic and began to lose its rhythm. Gradually, Elizabeth’s breath became more rapid, and her hands tightly gripped Andrew’s suit jacket as she leaned softly into his embrace, seeking more.

Compared to Elizabeth, Andrew appeared much more composed, but a hint of sparkle that flickered in his black eyes revealed just how much he was enjoying the kiss.

Andrew had once been so averse to women getting close to him, but now he yearned for Elizabeth in his arms more than

ever before.

For the first time, he realized just how soft she was, how sweet she tasted, and how she left him wanting more.

Slowly, the temperature in the reception room began to rise, and Andrew no longer satisfied himself with a simple kiss. He could no longer contain his reason, for passion had completely consumed him.

His hand, initially resting on Elizabeth’s waist, started to wander upward slowly.

Just then, the reception room door was pushed open, and a cleaner with a cleaning cart walked in.

The sound of the wheels sliding on the floor was like a splash of cold water, shattering the alluring and ambiguous atmosphere between them.

Elizabeth was startled and quickly pushed Andrew away, her face blushing as she covered her cheeks with her hands.

“Ah. I’m sorry, Mr. Hayes. I didn’t know you were here,” apologized the cleaner immediately.

The cleaner’s voice was very anxious. Since the guest had left long ago, she thought no one was inside the room.  Sᴇaʀch Thᴇ Find_Nøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

She had not expected to witness such a scene.

Now that she had interrupted them, she started to worry that the CEO might get angry and fire her on the spot.

Andrew coldly glanced at the cleaner, his face expressing clear annoyance at the interruption.

He lowered his head and looked at Elizabeth, who was too embarrassed to lift her head. He reached out and gently stroked her fluffy hair.

Then, he swiftly pulled her into his arms and walked out of the reception room, protecting her.

He might have had his way with her if not for the inappropriate timing and location. After all, they were kissing so passionately.

Thinking of this, a hint of regret flashed in Andrew’s deep eyes.
