Chapter 53 

Feeling the warm touch on her wrist, Elizabeth could not help but be stunned. She took small steps to keep up with Andrew and felt her heart beating so fast that it skipped a beat. 

The tall and muscular figure in front of her seemed to have become even more approachable than before in this instant. 

The two of them went to the sky garden on the top floor and found the best spot to sit down. 

From this angle, they could see more than half of the city. The environment beside the mountains and rivers made people feel relaxed and happy. 

“The private garden below is so beautiful. I didn’t expect to see such beautiful scenery in such a busy city. I can’t bear to leave. What should I do?” 

Elizabeth stared excitedly at the garden under the transparent floor. Then, she took out her cell phone and took a few panoramic photos. 

There’s a plot of land in the backyard of our house that happens to be empty. If you like it, I can instruct someone to plant 

flowers there.” 

Meeting the bright light in Elizabeth’s eyes, Andrew’s beautiful lips could not help but curl into a doting smile. 

“Really? Then can I do it myself?” 

Elizabeth was very excited when she heard that. She had always been especially interested in flowers and plants, but she had been suppressed by all kinds of complicated things previously. Now, she finally had time to relax. 

“Sure. Coincidentally, you’re free during this period of time. 

Andrew nodded. As he spoke, the dishes that he had ordered earlier were served. He picked up his knife and fork, cut one of the steaks, and placed it in front of Elizabeth. He looked like a standard gentlemanly boyfriend. 

This was the first time Andrew had eaten alone with a girl in his 28 years of life. For some reason, after he met Elizabeth, many things seemed to come naturally to him. 

“Thank you.” 

As Elizabeth spoke, she could not help but take another look at the man sitting opposite her. He looked a little different from usual today, but she could not tell what was different about him. 

“Then shall we go to the flower market to buy seeds later?” 

Elizabeth was a woman of action. Since she had decided to plant flowers, she had to act quickly. 

“I bought movie tickets. We’ll buy the seeds after the movie.” 

Andrew said as he cut his steak elegantly. The second he found out that Elizabeth had lost her job, he had already arranged the schedule for today. After all, this matter was caused by him, so he ought to make it up to her. 

“Sure.” 

Elizabeth nodded, then lowered her head and focused on eating her steak. 

Accompanied by the soothing light music and the pleasant scenery, Andrew and Elizabeth had a very pleasant lunch. 

After lunch, the two of them strolled around the garden downstairs. They only walked to the cinema on the eighth floor when the movie was about to start. 

Because Andrew’s condition was not particularly stable yet, to avoid any unforeseen events, he booked a private theater that could only accommodate two people. 

“Wow, Andrew, I didn’t expect you to bring me to watch this movie.” 

When the prelude of the movie was played, Elizabeth’s eyes flashed with surprise as she saw the title. 

“Once, when I was working, I accidentally saw your treatment plan. It happened to have the name of this movie written on it. I think this is a movie you’ve always wanted to watch but haven’t had the time to watch.” 

Andrew narrowed his charming eyes. Since they were celebrating Elizabeth’s unemployment today, everything had to be premised on her. 

However, when Andrew saw Elizabeth’s happy and surprised expression, he felt as if his heart had been hit by something. Suddenly, some feelings that even he could not express emerged. 

“Thank you! Andrew, you’re too kind!” 

Elizabeth looked at Andrew gratefully and began to focus on the movie.

Chapter 53 

The title of the movie was “The Clown, and it was a movie that depicted personality traits. It was about a comedian who became a criminal after experiencing a lot of oppression. 

The overall style was rather dark and depressing. Elizabeth empathized strongly with the protagonist. While watching the movie, she cried several times as the protagonist collapsed. 

Andrew, who was sitting beside Elizabeth, silently handed her a piece of tissue paper. The dim light shone on Elizabeth’s face. Andrew turned his head to look at Elizabeth from time to time. When Andrew saw Elizabeth’s misty eyes, he involuntarily reached out and pulled her into his arms. 

Elizabeth leaned against Andrew’s warm and muscular chest and sobbed slightly as she watched the movie. Because she was too engrossed, she did not realize how charming and flirtatious the atmosphere between them was at this moment. 

Andrew’s attention was not on the movie the entire time. He gently hugged the petite woman in his arms and felt that all his senses were infinitely magnified. 

Andrew thought, “Elizabeth’s hands were so soft, and she smelled so good…” 

After watching the movie, Andrew and Elizabeth walked toward the parking lot together. It was obvious that Elizabeth had yet to recover from the sad atmosphere previously. Elizabeth was wiping her tears as she walked. 

“Andrew, don’t you have anything to say after watching the movie? I don’t see any expression on your face. 

When Elizabeth saw Andrew’s calm expression, she could not help but complain. 

“There’s nothing to say. The clown’s ending has a lot to do with his personality flaws.” 

Although Andrew did not watch the entire plot, it did not stop him from expressing his opinion. He had always been an overly rational person. Ever since he was young, other than when his illness acted up, he had never been particularly touched by anything. 

“You’re terribly rational.” 

Elizabeth could not help but pout. “But it’s good that you’re this way. You would only be secure in your current position. with a personality like that.” 

“Yes, aren’t we going to the flower market? Get in the car.” 

Andrew raised his eyebrows and began to arrange the third itinerary of the day. 

“Let’s go.” 

Elizabeth heaved a long breath and chased away the gloomy atmosphere around her. 

Andrew and Elizabeth went to the largest flower market in the west of the city and bought a lot of potted plants and flower seeds that were very easy to grow during the season. 

Elizabeth did not expect a meticulous and domineering CEO like Andrew, who sat in the office all year round, to know so much about flowers and plants. When she saw Andrew take her around the shops with familiarity, her admiration for him could not help but deepen. 

“I grew up with my grandfather. I took care of the flowers and plants he planted. 

The two of them slowly walked back with their purchases. Andrew could not help but talk about his childhood. 

“Back then, I spent the entire day in the conservatory. Whenever I came out of there, my mood became especially peaceful.” 

Andrew’s parents had just passed away. When his uncles were busy fighting for family assets and had no time to care about him, he relied on himself to survive.
