Henry’s change in attitude was a little too fast. Elizabeth was shocked. But somehow, she felt this was also within her expectation. 

This was typical of Henry. 

Otherwise, she would really be worried that she had mistaken him for someone else. 

Elizabeth laughed self–deprecatingly. She shook her head gently and muttered, “I’m so stupid. I actually had expectations. for you. Scumbags will always be scumbags. You really haven’t changed. You’re still as bad as ever.” 

“Thanks. I’ll take it as a compliment.” Henry’s feeling was stirred up when he heard this. 

However, there was no emotion in his eyes. All there was left was Elizabeth’s cold face.

“Take a closer look. I’m your patient now, Dr. Hayes.”

Henry laughed and placed his hands on the table. He leaned forward and leaned closer to Elizabeth. He lowered his voice and said, “Are you suggesting you would deliberately lead me on and make me sicker so you can send me to a mental hospital? 

But I know you won’t. Cause you are such a good girl. 

Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been in a relationship with you back then. I wouldn’t have been so snappy when I dumped you. Don’t you agree?” 

“You’re trying to piss me off.” 

Elizabeth threw away the case and stood up straight, taking a step back. She crossed her arms and stared at him with interest. “How strange. 

“You deliberately approached me and even handed me your weakness, but you wanted to irritate me and even gave me suggestions on how to hurt you. 

“What the hell do you want?” 

Henry did not expect Elizabeth to be so sensitive. The expression on his face twisted for a moment. 

But he quickly smiled. “Don’t think too much about it. I just trust you.” 

“That’s good.” 

Elizabeth opened the medical record. “Since you like our center so much, I’ll agree. 

“Let’s go upstairs for a consultation.” 

After saying that, Elizabeth took the medical records and walked upstairs. 

She walked much faster than Henry and went straight to Eva’s office. 

“There’s a patient. I’m gonna have to trouble you to take him.” Elizabeth handed the medical record to Eva. “He and I had history. I can’t handle this…” 

“What the fuck!” Eva’s shout interrupted Elizabeth. She pointed at the name on the medical record with a shocked face. “Isn’t this your ex–boyfriend? 

“How dare that shameless scumbag to stand in front of you!” 

“For some profitable reason, I suppose.” 

Elizabeth pressed Eva’s shoulder to calm her down. “Calm down. I’m not afraid. 

“He’s really stupid to provoke a professional psychologist!” 

Eva nodded her head and stood up with the medical record. “Don’t worry. I’ll help you get useful information and teach him a lesson during the consultation.” 

“Thank you” Elizabeth thanked her sincerely. 

This was against medical ethics. And Eva would like to set such a precedent for her. That meant she really treated Elizabeth as family. 

Henry saw Eva wearing a tight dress and heavy makeup. He chuckled and said in a tired voice, “So, Liz doesn’t want to be alone with me?”

“No, she won’t treat you.” Eva was very straightforward. 

She threw the medical records on the table and sat on the chair with her legs crossed. She pointed at the sofa and said, “Please sit down there. Be casual and make yourself comfortable.” 

Henry glanced at the sofa and shook his head. “Liz isn’t here. I can’t be casual. 

“Then forget it.” Eva did not care what he was playing here. She did not take the bait at all. “It’s either me or another psychology center. 

There is no third option.”

She picked up the pen and began the routine questioning. Then, she slowly guided him into a state of hypnotize.

Eva looked at the unconscious Henry and put the medical record book aside. She asked in a low voice. “Why are you looking for trouble with Elizabeth? 

“Who sent you here? What is your motive?” 

“I didn’t.” Henry’s voice was a little ethereal. “Why would I seek trouble with her? I love Liz deeply! 

“Why did I break up with her? I regret it so much! Liz, come back to me. I love you so much. I can’t afford to lose you!” 

Henry suddenly burst into tears. 

As he cried, he called out about how much he missed Elizabeth. 

Eva sat at the side and took the medical record book back. She wrote down a few keywords and waited for him to finish crying. She got up and stretched. She turned off the soothing music and pulled open the curtains to drink a glass of water. 

Then, she stopped the hypnosis and handed Henry a packet of tissues. “Alright, the first stage is over.” 

“What happened to me?” Henry’s voice was a little hoarse. He touched his wet face and looked at the cup in Eva’s hand. “Did you splash it on me?” 

“Huh?” Eva glanced at the cup and smiled. “Sure.” 

Whoosh! 

Half a glass of water was splashed on Henry’s face. 

“You!” Henry did not expect Eva to do this. He stood up angrily and was about to hit her. 

“Why are you so mad? Didn’t you ask for it?” Eva chuckled and handed him the cup. “If you really feel aggrieved, you can splash the water on me.” 

“Good, great!” Henry gritted his teeth and pointed at Eva. In the end, he did not do anything. He grabbed his medical record book and went out. 

Eva lowered her head and laughed. She got up and walked to the window. Only when she saw that Henry had completely left did she call the cleaner to come up and clean. 

After Henry got into the car, he immediately took off his suit and threw it into the backseat. Then, he pulled out a few pieces of paper and wiped the water off his face. 

He lit a cigarette and exhaled deeply. Then, he suddenly burst into laughter. 

He laughed louder and louder, slapping the steering wheel hard. “Desperate love for Elizabeth? Hahaha.” 

His waist was stained with blood. After a while, he finally had enough of laughing. Only then did he reach out and pull out a thumbtack from his back. 

Staring at the blood–stained thumbtack, he let out a long breath, leaned back in his chair, and smiled mockingly. Hypnotize? Huh, it’s just a bluff.
