Okay, you can do this Xayla. Jake's your friend and you've grown closer in the last few weeks. This won't be so hard.

I was outside by my car pacing back and forth. My heads felt clammy and I felt hot and sweaty even though it was cold out.

A group of girls approached me then and I thought they were going to ambush me but I saw Mikaela and I still thought that they were up to no good.

I giggled at her text and wrote a message but before I could send it, Jake appeared in front me with his puppy dog eyes and his one dimple smile.

"Oh." My face fell at the mention of my eyes.

He lift my chin up with his finger and smiled at me.

"Hey, I love your eyes Elena. I sorta tend to get lost in them sometimes" He confessed.

This is the hardest I've ever blushed in my life.

"You get lost all the time Jake." I joked.

He laughed looking down at me, our eyes held each other for a while.

"You said you had something for me?" He questioned.

Okay Xay, you can do this. I turned to retrieve the gift I have for him from my car.

I held it in my hands and looked up in his eyes.

I opened the rectangle shaped violet colored box and showed him it.

"Will you...go to the dance with me Dimples?" I asked with a shy smile.

A grin immediately crept its way up his face and I couldn't help but return a grin of my own.

"Yes Ellie. I would love to go to the dance with you." He smiled and hugged me.

"What's this though?" He said pointing to the box in my hand.

"Oh these are purple contact lenses. I want you to wear them and dress in full black. We'll match of course." I told him.

"Oh cool. What are we suppose to be then? " he questioned.

"You're gonna be a wizard and i'm going to be a witch. We'll have matching eye color so we'll stand out. I doubt anyone's going to have purple eyes." I explained.

"Awesome Ellie. I can't wait." He said adoringly into my eyes.

"Me too" I confessed.

We said our goodbyes and I headed straight home with a smile plastered along my face. I can't wait until next week. Jake and I are gonna have so much fun together.

I got home to see an impatient Chloe sitting on the couch.

"What took you so long?" She stormed.

"I asked Jake to the dance." I grinned closing the door behind me.

"What? I wanted to be there." She whined.

"Well I can tell you all about it even though there's nothing much to tell " I told her.

I filled her in all things to do with Jake including my feelings for him. She squealed at the part when Jake told me he loved my eyes and where he gets lost in them sometimes. I blushed the entire time give her all the deets.

"So where does Mikaela come in?" She baffled.

"She thinks I have this major crush on him. This bitch actually threatened me to stay away from Mason or else she'll make my life a living hell." I blatantly said.

Chloe laughed so hard I saw a tear coming from her eye.

"She's obviously delusional." She scoffed.

"I know right." I giggled.

We watched a movie afterwards and ordered pizza for dinner.

Chloe decided to spend the night and I really enjoyed myself. Been a while since I had a sleepover.

I miss Shira though. No one can replace her. Just one more month and she'll be here with me. I honestly can't want.

I woke up earlier than usual on a Saturday morning. Chloe on the other hand was still fast asleep.

I powered my phone and was greeted by a text message from Mason. How did he even get my number.

-I heard you asked Jake to the dance...

Just one bland text message. No follow-up. I stared at the message for a while contemplating whether or not I should reply. I decided I should because now he knows that I read it.

-Morning Elmo! I just tried on the contact lenses you gave me. I look so weird. Lol. Gonna take some time to get use to.

I giggled at the message before replying.
