Rapunzel's POV

"Here we are sweetheart." I looked at my surroundings only to find darkness around every turn. I looked at her.

"Lady we're in the middle of nowhere." She turned in her seat and smiled "No we aren't sweetie,we're two miles out from Marlborough and this is as far as I can go."

She said smiling warmly at me. "But I still have such a long way to go." I whined. "Why can't you go any further?" I asked.

She looked at her surroundings and looked back at her whispering. "They have eyes and ears everywhere, they're old and traditional hating none family members to cross into their lands."

She said her eyes wide. "Crazy if you ask me. They say at nights the towns people shift into these humongous wolves and go hunting........" I looked at her.

This bitch is bat shit nuts. Shaking my head I grabbed my phone from my pocket and checked the time 3:36 a.m.

I sighed it's too late to call my folks. It's very very late. "Hello" a groggy voice answered. "Hey dad!" I chirped

"Rapunzel?" Why're you calling so early in the damn morning." He groaned frustratedly "well the thing is I'm sorta stuck in the middle of nowhere. With a bat shit crazy driver." I whispered the last part

Since she was still going on and on about werewolves and shit.

"Shit son why didn't you call when you had arrived."

I heard rustling and the jingle of keys. Soon after a door opens and closed. "Because dad I had no idea it would've been this difficult to get to a small town."

I heard his car start and I know he's gonna hang up soon. "Okay sweetie where are you?" I glanced around or a sign but found none. "I have no idea dad but the lady says were two miles away from the town."

He sighed and said a quick I'll be there soon before hanging up. Sagging in my seat. I looked up when she spoke. "So he'll be here in the next couple minutes or so huh. Guess I can wait it out with you."

I nodded but stopped half way. "You were eavesdropping on us." I scowled. She laughed "no more like it was a three way convo." I shook my head at her and looked at my phone. It read 3:54 a.m.

Sighing I got comfortable and looked at the beautiful moon in all it's glory. "Ah.... Beautiful isn't she." I hummed a response and silence fell upon us.

A branch snapping close to us washed through the silence as my heart rate picked up. Turning off the head lights the driver then climbed around the back with me.

But not before locking all the doors. "They're here." She whispered as she clung to me. "Who's here?" I asked timidly

"The wolves." Howls rip through the silence as we watched two pairs of red eyes creep closer to the small car.

The lady squeaked in fear and dove in my lap clinging to my waist and burying her face in my abdomen.

I continued watching as two humongous wolves step out of the tree line as the moon shun on them. They looked rough and ragged like they've been dragged around by a truck.

Their sizes dwarf mine in comparison. I watched in fear as the biggest wolves I've ever seen got so close to the car the glass fogged up from the heavy breathing.

My breath hitched in my throat as one started to rock the car. The death grip around my waist reminded me that I wasnt alone.

The wolves snarled at me bearing their yellow blood stained teeth. I feel a whimper rising up from my throat.

Hearing me whimper fueled them to go even harder. They clawed at the metal death trap fiercely. The lady clung to me even tighter than I thought possible and screamed.

I placed hand over her mouth as the wolves used their huge paws to slam on the windows. I inched closer towards the door furthest from them.

As the window began to crack. Just as it was about deliver the final blow I closed my eyes tightly and waited for it.

When nothing happened and all I could hear was snarling. I opened my eyes and peered outside. I gasped when I saw a beautiful black wolf standing proud.

It was bigger than the other two as it circled them like the prey they are. It's strides powerful yet graceful, strong but gentle as it snarled at the two.

It attacked the wolf closest to it and in one fluid motion ripped open it's throat. I watched in awe as the black wolf ran straight towards the other one and slammed it to the ground.

Before it could respond it's throat was slashed and it's eyes lifeless. I watched as the black wolf shook out its fur and howled. A few seconds later multiple howls followed.

Whimpering caught my attention as I looked down to see the driver had completely screamed, clung and cried herself to sleep.

It also seems that I wasn't the only one who had heard it. Looking back up I let out a surprised yelp as I saw huge sea green almost teal eyes looking at me.

Scenting the air it looked at me again but this time it growled. I cower in fear of what might happen. I mean I'm a damn good kick boxer.

But there is no way, NO WAY I can take down a wolf three times my fucking size. It watched me closely and growled again. I whimpered looking at it and something flashed in it's eyes.

It looked human as if it could understand what I was going through at the moment. It put it's paw on the already cracked glass and I stiffened.

It raised it's paw and just as it was about to strike head lights shun in the distance as a car sped towards us. The wolf looked at me once more then disappeared.

Letting go a breath I didn't know I was holding. I cranked down my glass just a little as the car came closer. Recognizing the familiar purple-ish Audi R8.

I hesistantly stuck my hand out and waved. The car came to a screeching halt and I looked to see a frantic dad bounding over to the car.

"Dylan, oh god I was so worried." He said as I opened the door he grabbed my cheeks with his huge hands turning my head from side to side.

Did he? No he possibly couldn't know could he? He sighed in relief and kissed my nose. "I've been calling you for the last half hour and all I got was voicemail. Shit I was so worried." He sighed and kissed my forehead.

"Let's get you home Rapunzel. You must be exhausted." Not trusting my voice I nodded meekly before shaking the lady awake.

She didnt budge and dad looked at me questionly at her death grip around my waist. "Thought you swung for the other team hun." He chuckled as I untangle her from around me.

"Bring her with us." He nod and took her up placing her in the back of his car. Closing the doors of the taxi I head towards dad's car.

Sitting in the passenger seat as he started the car. I glanced over to find the wolves gone as if nothing had ever happened. I sighed in relief as I looked at my dad's face.

What would've happened if he didnt come when he did? No no no dont think about that now. Shaking my head dad smiled at me and looked back on the road.

The drive home was in a slightly comfortable silence and I just couldnt wait to go and sink in bed. As we pull up to the three story house I was too tired to even look at the details

Getting out of the car i yawned loudly as dad picked up the lady. Thank God he parked in the garage.

Walking towards the door he opened it and brought her to a guest room.

Not waiting for him to return I trudged upstairs and to the room I know would be mine. The only room for me on the first floor. Well technically they're two rooms one for me and one for my brother but oh well.

I went inside the first room and started to strip. Leaving myself only in my boxers I pulled back the covers and crawled under.

As soon as my head hits the soft pillows I was out like a light. With only one thing on my mind.
