Chapter Thirty-Three: Imposter

I felt my breath quicken as he leaned in close. Becoming impatient, I closed the gap and smashed my lips on his.

I could feel a slight burning on my mark, but I could barely feel the pain through the haze of alcohol. His lips were soft, and he tasted of mint. My hands slid up his chest and to his neck.

His grip on my waist tightened and he pulled me closer to him. I put all of my built-up anger and frustration into my kiss with this stranger.

I suddenly felt the need to mate with him right then and there. Even though I was drunk, I could feel something was off and, in confusion, pulled away from him.

The fog in my head instantly cleared as I felt a painful burning between my legs. I gasped in pain and fell to my knees.

I had my eyes tightly closed.

"Raven are you okay?" I heard William ask. I opened my eyes to see him looking at me worriedly. He smelled the air, an instantly his eyes became black. William looked at me with hunger filled eyes, and growled lowly.

My eyes widened when I realized what was going on. I'm in heat.

I stumbled to my feet, and dashed away from him. I ran straight for the women's restroom and collapsed inside. The burning sensation grew, and I gripped the edge of the sink until my hands began to bleed.

Jinx!

Where'd you go? She yelled though the mind link. I gasped again when another wave of heat hit me.

I'm in heat, you have to find Derek. I'm in the bathroom, please help!

Hang in there, She cut off the link.

I was breathing extremely heavily, and I could feel my wolf trying to surface. She was desperate to go out and find Blake. I didn't know if she wanted to kill him or mate with him, but I wasn't in the mood to find out. Not being able to control my wolf fully, I ended up slamming my fists down into the counter. The whole thing cracked and fell to the floor in peices. I growled at myself for letting my wolf get so close to taking over.

The door slammed open and Jinx walked inside.

"Why did you want Derek?"

"I think he knows I'm his sister." My voice had a strange tone to it, I noticed. I shook my head trying to clear it.

"We have to get you home," she said worriedly. I nodded and let her help me out of the bathroom. Outside, I was greeted by Jackson and Derek. I looked at Derek, my breaths coming out in ragged gasps.

"Do you know who I am?" I asked him, I could hear even the desperation in my voice. He nodded.

"I'm your brother, I have been looking for you for a very long time. I believe I was only three or four years old when you were born." He said sadly. I felt a pang in my heart at his tone.

"How? You aren't half Hunter so how were you born? Who was her mate, the Hunter or the wolf?" I was extremely confused.

"She fell in love with a werewolf, but then found her mate, hers was a Hunter I guess. I don't know for sure, she never told me," he shrugged. I nodded with a sigh.

"You're coming to my pack."

"Your pack? How do you have a pack?"

I smirked, "You are looking at the Luna of the Silver Bloods Pack."

"Your mate is Blake Redthorne?" He asked in disbelief. I nodded, but frowned.

"Unfortunately, it turns out he is a cheating bastard," I said through gritted teeth. Another wave of heat rolled between my legs and they gave out from underneath me. I fell to the ground with a hiss of pain.

I've never been in Heat before, but it happens if you haven't fully mated two months after meeting your mate. The only way to relieve the pain is through sex with your mate.

But I'm not in the mood to be in bed with my cheating mate.

"We need to get you home," I heard Jinx say. I nodded and struggled to my feet.

I managed to stand up straight, and block out the pain enough so I could walk. With the help of Jinx, I started walking towards the exit.

Many of the male werewolves in the club started smelling the air, and their eyes were turning black.

"Fuck!" I cursed under my breath. Unmated male werewolves couldn't resist a female in Heat. Thankfully though, Jackson was mated, and since Derek was blood he would be unaffected.

In my panic, I forgot the pain and ran for the door. I saw a man going to block it, and my hand instantly went to the dagger on my thigh.

I threw it and it landed in the man's throat. He began to cough blood and I ran up to him, and pulled the dagger out of his neck. He slumped to the ground, and I pushed him aside.

When I tried pushing open the glass door, it was locked somehow. I cursed again and backed up a few feet. Taking a deep breath, I made a running jump at the door, putting my arms up to block my face.

The glass shattered and I landed in a crouch outside. I took a quick look behind me to see Jackson, Jinx, and Derek coming through the door frame. But directly behind them were all the male wolves.

My heart started beating extremely fast, and I felt my body start to shift. Black fur covered my body and my eyes were like liquid gold. I growled loudly and took off towards the woods. The wind whipped through my fur, and the trees flew past me in a blur.

I pushed my legs harder, and I quickly left everything behind me. Bounding down the path to Blake's house, I heard the screeching of tires behind me.

I saw it was Jackson's car but didn't stop. When I reached the front door, I got on my back legs and slammed my front paws into the wood. It splintered into pieces, and I ran through the house and into Blake's bedroom.

I was expecting it to be empty, but Blake was on the bed with the girl from the club. My wolf growled loudly, and it shook the house with its intensity.

I was too angry to question how they got here so quickly, and shifted back. Ignoring that I was naked, I grabbed the girl by her neck and threw her at the wall. She cried out hitting her head hard, and fell to the ground. I turned to Blake, who was glaring at me on the bed.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I snapped at him, my wolf coming through.

"I can do whatever the hell I want, didn't think I needed permission from a slut," he said with a growl. His voice was slightly different, but his comment made me ignore it. My anger was building up inside me, and my breathing grew ragged again.

"I'm your mate you dick!" I screams at him, becoming frustrated.

He snorted, "You are not my mate."

I gasped quietly, He rejected me!

He smirked at me, and my restraint snapped. I lunged at him, and my fist caught his jaw. I heard a crack and he growled angrily.

I took a few steps back as he got off the bed, stalking towards me with a murderous expression. I spotted my weapons bag behind him, next to the bed.

I shifted into my black wolf again, and leaped at his head. He ducked as a reflex, and I jumped over him, landing next to my bag. I shifted back as quickly as I could and snatched my crossbow from my bag.

I brought it up and pulled the trigger, sending an arrow straight into the heart of my mate.

He looked at me in shock, and I suddenly remembered that the arrow had liquid silver in it. The silver wouldn't kill him, and there was a small chance that the arrow could.

I was about to shoot him again when I saw dark lines appear all over his skin. My eyes widened when I realized that the liquid silver was in his blood, and killing him.

I was so confused, he was immune to silver. He then yelled in pain and fell to the ground. I went over to him, and knelt by his head. His eyes were turning black, but then started swirling green.

"Who the fuck are you?" I growled seeing the green. Blake's wolf had blue eyes, not green.

He smirked at me, and my wolf became very angry. She roared aloud, and I smirked when he flinched. His body grew still, and he lay dead on the floor.

I stood up and went into the bathroom. My wolf was furious, Blake was gone. I looked up in the mirror angrily, and took a step back in shock at what I saw.

My eyes were glowing red.
