“We’ve got him sir.
Mooney looked at the ceiling and exhaled. “Ah.. Finally. Thank you.” He took a breath and stood up. He walked around his desk and looked out the window where he could see the Atlantic Ocean. The waters were calm. Though the clouds in the background were very dark. The weight of the world was finally off his shoulders. But the pressure had left a dent.
“Now get it done as soon as possible. I want him gone.”
“Of course, Sir.” Anderson was about to leave when
“Was it your asset? The one who could identify him?”
“Yes, Sir.”
“Get him back here right away. He’s a hero. We need some on our side. We’ll find a job for him.. Who is he by the way?”
“His name is Eric Morgan Sir.”
Mooney looked surprised. “Related?”
“Brother sir.”
“Unbelievable.” Mooney rocked his head from side to side. He held his chin in his
hand, smiled and was silent for a few seconds. “What are the odds?” He giggled to himself. “Can we trust him?”
“I think so, Sir. He just handed us his brother who will be executed. It’s fair to say there’s no love lost between these two. He’s ours. A solid asset. Ambitious obviously.”
“OK… Good. We can control someone who’s ambitious. But maybe his brother told him something.” Mooney looked anxious.
“Right. It’s possible Sir. You’re right of course.” Anderson stayed standing in front of Mooney’s desk, waiting for directives.
“Well, let’s see for ourselves. He did do me a serious favor. We’ll keep that in mind. But if he shows the tiniest sign…”
“Understood. He’s on his way already Sir. Won’t be too long.” And with that, Ian Anderson left Mooney’s office.
