The chase

We ducked down during the whole thing. I look towards Maurice, with him just as scared as I am. “What the heck just happen?” “I don’t even know Andre, are we even safe? “I think so.” we stand and see some people got injured, we were lucky to be unscathed.” “Wait a minute, TED!” I run outside the building with Maurice following behind. Some cars flipped over and smashed. “Sir, where are you going?” a guy in military uniform asks the old guy. “I AIN’T LETTING THAT BASTARD GET AWAY!” The old guy speeds off, chasing after a truck. “You think Ted is in that truck?” Maurice asked me. “He has to be, how are we gonna get to him?” I try my hardest to think on the spot. Then I look at all the military cars nearby. “We go after them by car!” “What, Andre, are you crazy? You don’t even know how to drive!” “You don’t either!” “Fair point but come on this is nuts!” “We have to do this for our friend Maurice, he would do the same for us. Now you can tag along, or I can go on my own, your choice.” I shut the door, trying to figure out how to hot wire the car. “Well first, if you’re gonna steal a car, you need to learn how to hot wire it.” he gets in and hot wires the car starting up. “Well, are we going or what?” I chuckle. “Thanks Maurice. Now let’s go get back, Ted!” We drive off heading after Ted, I can barely keep the car steady. “This a lot harder than the arcade games at big willy’s!” “Yep, I’m already regretting this!” as we speed down the road we saw a car flipped over on the way, “Yo Andre, look at that car over there.” “Whoa, you think that’s the old guy from earlier?” “It has to be.” “Should we help him?” “Nah let’s keep tail on the truck, we don’t want to lose Gio whatever his name is.” “What think he snatched him up for?” “I don’t know, it could be for a number of reasons, but I get a feeling that no of them are good.” We start heading to the main highway, my palms start to sweat from all this intensity. “Hey, don’t get too close, we don’t want him knowing we’re on his tail.” “Right, how do you know all this?” “Remember that time me and my uncle went to California when I was like four?” “Ahh yea, you were in that car chase. Is he getting out soon?” “Nah, still has 8 more years.” We drive on to the highway, the truck starts going faster, weaving through traffic. “Come on, Andre, speed up, we’re losing him!” “There are so many cars! Maurice, you were right this was a bad idea!” “Don’t get cold feet now! Just breathe, you can do this.” I take a deep breath in and focus on the road and speed weaving through the cars. Nearly missing every single, this must be how race car drivers feel! “Please don’t kill us, Andre or someone!” “Don’t worry, I got this” We start gaining on the truck heading into a turn. “He’s going off-road, hurry!” I follow far behind, where is this guy going? WE get closer and see this huge building, almost looks like a factory, could this be where he mass produces the giobots? “This guy sure does like his name on everything, huh. He’s got his own lettering on the front of the building!”

We pull over, contemplate on what to do. “Well, Andre, what’s the plan?” “That’s just it, Maurice. For once in my life, I think I’m out of ideas. I don’t there’s much we can do.” “Well then, I guess life has given us some fruit for thought.” Maurice reaches in the back and pulls out guns and armor. “I say the plan is to guns blazing.” “No, that would be stupid, but this will come in handy for sure. Hang tight Ted. We’re getting you back.”
