I held the hood of the car, trying to stand up straight, but it wasn’t possible. I found it difficult to breathe and I had to close my eyes to concentrate on my breathing technique, but it was extremely difficult as different memories kept popping up in my head and I think that was what got Stanley’s attention, making him rush to hold me.

Jane, are you okay?” I heard Stanley’s voice as he ran up to me, but I was unable to answer even though I badly wanted to do that. I wanted to tell him what was wrong with me and how I was feeling, but nothing came out of my mouth.

“Jane, what’s wrong?” He asked again, but I said nothing. Instead, I opened the door and went back inside the car, locking the door as soon as I did. He soon got into the car and covered the window with a black cover.

I took in deep breaths, closing my eyes as I tried to calm down. I didn’t know why that happened, but that was the first time I was having a panic attack since I was born.

Are you okay now?” He asked as I opened my eyes and I turned to look at him, nodding my head and smiling softly.

Then, can you explain what happened? I got really scared thinking that something bad had happened to you, he admitted and I chuckled, not being able to help myself cas he looked so cute.

“You don’t have to be worried. I had a small panic attack as soon as I got out of the car and realized that people were staring at me, I explained to him and he frowned.

If you had a panic attack, then I have every reason to get worried. But why did it happen? I believe that the situation was too trivial for something like that to happen,” he asked and I exhaled.

When I got rejected, it was inside the hall, during the coronation of the new Luna of the pack. Everyone was staring at me then, giving me hateful, insulting and mocking looks. I think the memory of what happened that day flashed in my head when I realized that I was also being looked at by them,” I explained to him.

Are you sure that’s all? You don’t have to see a doctor?” He asked, his voice laced with worry and I nodded my

head.

Chapter 19

Like I said earlier, I am fine and you don’t need to get worried over that. It’s definitely not worth going to see a doctor for. It was something so small and I am very sure it wouldn’t happen again. It’s just that I am having a hard time adjusting to the fact that I am no longer in that pack,” I assured him and he nodded.

“Should we go back home? You can continue to wear our clothes until you’re ready to be seen in public,” he offered, but I shook my head.

There is no need to go through all those troubles. Since we’re already here, I should just face my fear and go on with what I came here to do,” I told him and he nodded again.

“Take in deep breaths because we are going back outside. Let me know when you have calmed down and you’re ready to get out,” he said and I did as he had instructed, breathing in and out continuously until I was ready.

I opened my eyes and gestured for us to go outside, taking in a sharp breath as I opened the door and came out of the car. I staggered as people’s eyes fell on me again, but luckily, Stanley was there to grab me, holding my arms as he guided me to the mall,

People kept staring, but I began to get used to it, feeling more confident as we walked in the mall, searching for a women’s boutique.

Finally, we found one and began searching for clothes that would fit me. I tasted a lot of clothes and bought a lot even the ones that didn’t fit me.

Stanley was a crazy shopper and he spent as much as he could, buying some for himself as well. That was when I understood why John and David sent him to shop with me as he had no mercy while trying to buy the things I would need for myself.

“How do you feel now?” He asked after we were done shopping. We bought clothes, shoes, bags, underwear, necessities such as soaps and tampons and pads, etc. And now, we were entering a restaurant to have lunch as our stomachs were growling like crazy and my feet hurt, so we had to find a place to sit.

On getting to the restaurant, Stanley ordered for our food and excused himself to go put the bags inside the car before the food would be ready.

Hello, “I heard the voice of a lady and I raised my head to look at whoever was calling out for him. I saw her, a lady who looked like she was around my age.

She was wearing a skimpy gown and a stiletto heels shoe which made her tall. She had tons of makeup on her face and that decreased her beauty, making her look more like a doll than a person.  Sᴇaʀch Thᴇ Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Chapter 19

“I came here to talk to you,” she said and I brought down my head, shutting my eyes tightly for a while before opening it back.

“Can you please, sit down, my neck is beginning to ache,” I pleaded and she sat down, her eyes never leaving mine.” What do you want to talk to me about?” I asked, feeling more comfortable now that I wasn’t straining my eyes to look at her anymore.

“It’s about Beta Stanley, the man you were with earlier,” she started and I nodded, urging her to continue as I got curious to know what she was trying to say about him.

I need you to leave him alone,” she informed and that was definitely what I wasn’t expecting.
