Bob took me deep into the woods, releasing my hands to let me do my business. He moved farther away from 

me so that he won’t have to see me do my business. 

After throwing up, I took a glance at him and pretended to still be throwing up, taking a step after step away from him, until I finally took off, running as fast as I could while he yelled for me to come back. As if I was going to. 

I could hear him run after me, the sounds of dried twigs breaking as we both ran. Before I knew what was happening, I heard other footsteps coming after me and I quickened my steps, running faster than I thought.. 

**FLASHBACK ** 

You can do it! You can do it!” I yelled, clapping my hands as Damien sprinted, running with other sprinters in the pack. 

My heart was palpitating as he ran, sweat dripping from his forehead. He was so cute, and the thought of him 

alone made me blush. 

Hey,” Someone tapped me and I jumped, raising my head to look at him. A pink color crept up my face as he stared at me and I touched my cheeks.” Water,” he demanded and I snapped out of it, handing him the bottle of water I had brought for him. 

“Are you not going to work out? You have no wolf, yet you sit here everyday, watching and cheering. You should learn how to protect yourself, you might not have someone to protect you one day,” he advised and I sneered at 

him. 

“I don’t like training, it’s too vigorous and stressful,” I told him as he sat down beside me. 

“It is, but it is helpful in its own way. As you don’t have a wolf, you need to be able to protect yourself. Who knows, you might become a warrior like your father when you’re older,” he stated and I shook my head. 

“I’m not going to become a warrior, it’s too stressful and I have no intention of doing that, “I admitted. 

“What do you want to become then?” He asked and I smiled softly.

“Your wife, I want to become your wife,” I confessed and he cringed while I wriggled my brows at him. 

“You’re crazy,” he cursed and I shrugged. 

Say whatever you want to, but that’s who I will become. It’s up to me to decide what I want to be, “I argued. 

“It’s up to me to choose whom I want as my wife,” he retorted. 

“And it’s not gonna be me? I’m going to kill any lady that will become your wife until you finally choose grinned and he scoffed at me. 

How do you plan on doing that when you don’t even have the strength?” He asked and I shrugged.

“I’ll hire a warrior to kill them for me. Any way I do it, I’ll become your wife. Who knows, we might even bet mates, “I suggested and he cringed again, shaking his head. 

I knew in my mind that he was going to reject it, but it didn’t concern me. I wasn’t going to let anyone take him away from me, he was mine.

Now, he wasn’t mine anymore, that bitch had taken him away from me, in a more disgracing manner than l would have done. 

This was the first time I regretted not taking training lessons with my father when I was young. I used my younger days to follow Damien everywhere, taking lessons with him and cheering for him while he trained. 

That was when I realized that I had been acting as a wife and partner to him ever since I saved him from the rouge attack. And since that time, he had been acting cold and cruel to me and I got so used to his attitude 

towards me. 

Regardless of that, I loved him and I still do, thinking of him when my life and my baby were in danger. 

He doesn’t care about you, ‘I had to remind myself every time I thought about him. If he truly cared, he wouldn’t have rejected me in front of the whole pack, publicly disgracing me like I did something wrong to him. 

He wouldn’t have crowned another lady as Luna of his pack when he hadn’t rejected me yet. He would have. respected me as a lady and his mate.

But that was the least of my concerns right now. I had to save my baby, his baby, whom he didn’t know he had. But the men were getting closer to me and I was running out of breath. 

I had no wolf, no power, no fighting skills and here was I, trying to outrun five men, who could make me pass out with just a punch. If only I had thought about it very well, I wouldn’t have run away like that. Then, my baby life would have been in danger.

That was until I stumbled on a rock, yelping as I fell down on the ground. A drop of tears fell from my eyes as I tried to stand up from the ground, but it wasn’t possible. 

The men were already near me, and I still couldn’t move. My life was in danger, my baby was in danger and yet, I could do nothing because I was so weak and wolfless. 

The five of them got to me, smirking at me as they panted heavily. My eyes drooped, but I tried not to fall unconscious. I had to save myself, I couldn’t give in easily. 

“Who are you?” I heard someone say and I couldn’t stop myself from slipping into darkness again, saying only one sentence as the stranger walked up to us and the men turned to him..
