Reforged!
Lets Play a Game

Ready or Not!

She looked up and pointed the Bloodfang at the pulsating floating crystal. “Okay.. what are you a wisp of the wills?..” Andrea asked in a threatening manner as she jabbed at the evading sphere. She moved back defensively to where her tattered dress was and quickly slipped into it.

“Ohhh sorry, this is the first time we met. My name is Joshua.”

The description fits, the voice of a small child, flashing colors. She had read about this deity. This was the Soul Gem of Chaos, the Trickster, one thing is never to accept a game from it. “Na that’s okay, I don’t really feel like playing a game today.” She steamer spoke, her heart was racing, and she felt it pounding in her chest. She was afraid.

Katalina projected to Andrea, "Ka'Azalin, fear will do you no good. Be strong and brave, embrace his challenge."

Joshua let out a sigh, “So you are not ready?”

“I don’t want to play,” she replied.

“Not an option, I have a bet with Katalina, She bets that you will win and I will lose. She says her Ka’Azalin is ready for a fight. I have already found a place for the game!”

“No... No... not at all, look at me; does this look like I am ready for a fight.” Andrea franticly waved her arms and pointed at the tattered dress.”

"Katalina, I am not ready!"

Joshua laughingly squealed. A bolt of lightning struck near Andrea, a vortex opened up above her. The wind kicked picked up. The air was rushing into the portal vortex, it was dragging dirt, small rocks. Loose floral and even some of the water into it. She heard the chains jingle as the wind tossed them around. She looked up, Andrea could see inside the portal, what was on the other side. She could see a coach and a bunch of figures on a road, She felt her body begin to move upward, she clamped down on her dress, to keep it from flying off her body. “Eckkkk.” she squealed. Her body moved up through the vortex.

“Let the game begin!” Andrea heard Joshua as the portal snapped shut behind her, she was falling. She was a couple of hundred feet in the air.

Challenge Accepted!

The goddess’s voice projected in her mind, "You have wings; pull them out! Glide down and show these mortals what kind of god you are!" Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the FindNøvᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Andrea was falling, the rip between the place she was and now is, closed. She was in a forestry area, with trees, and a road. On this road was a coach surrounded by several men, all yelling and swinging various mix-matched weapons. The horses attached to the carriage had been cut loose only to be captured by a group of Bandits up the road. The ground rushed to meet her, and she was falling.

Panic ripped through Andrea; I am falling, I am falling! What to do. Done this before! I know what to do!

Falling from heights was not too unusual for Ka’Azalin. She often descended from the upper stairwell in the Blackthorn Magical Academy to the ground flow with a simple spell. She casts her spell “Arcana: Feathers Flight,” and just before she hits the ground, her body turns and lands gently her bare feet first on the ground.

"Should of used your wings."

“I don’t know how to pull the out!”

Andrea landed about thirty feet from the wooden coach. There were seven men, in mismatched pieces of armor. She saw a woman kicking and screaming while being dragged out of the coach. There were two more humans, who looked to be in a uniform of some sort, but they were already dead; the heads had been forcefully removed.

To many, these are bandits for sure. She turned and started running the other way. No way do I want to be caught!

“Get that one, too, I don’t care if she fell from the sky! Don’t kill her, and I don’t like them cold!” One of the men barked.

Andrea bolted down the dirt road away from the bandits. I am not going to be raped by these brigands.

She could hear behind her a couple of men running behind her. Though she was barefoot, the broken ground did not hurt her feet, shso she couldake headway on.

“Don’t let her get away!” she heard another man shout.

"Why are you running? Turn and fight them! You are a goddess and a demon. Show them what fear is!"

Andrea turned her head back to see that she had enough distance to cast a spell at the two, in order to slow them down.

There are so many! Casters stay at distance, in hand to hand combat, we are dead.

Andrea turned and cast her spell “Arcana: Call of Body, Disorientate.” A small orb of light shot from her pointed index finger, the closest of the two bandits.

The bandit clutched his eyes, “Damn! She is a caster!” and slowed his run down to a safe walk, for he can’t see very well.

“Don’t play with casters, and I take that one cold!” A voice near the coach warned.

The other chasing bandit increases his effort to reach her before she can cast another spell. Andrea knows she can not cast another spell before he gets to her. She throws Bloodfang. The dagger makes an echoey metallic sound as the blades zip into the air and planted the blade first into his chest. He falls to the ground, making a sucking sound from the wound in his lungs. Then there is the sound of bones breaking as his chest distorts and the lungs collapse and fall inward, he coughs up blood and clutches the dagger. She calls for the dagger, but it does not come back.

"Concentrate, think about the dagger coming back to your hand!"

From behind her, a bandit grabs her. He lifts her up as she feels two strong arms pinning her arms together. He spins her around. “Now!”

Andrea slams her head backward and makes contact with the bandit’s face, the sound of a nose breaking. She feels the warm blood of the brigand’s bleeding nose run down the back of her head and her neck. He lets go and staggers backward a few steps. Andrea drops to the ground and then looks up just in time to see three more men in front of her.

"You have claws, fangs, and a tail. A demon’s hand-to-hand weapons of choice. Call them! They are part of you."

I don’t know how! There are Too many!

One bandit is holding a spear and is dead set in the middle of his charge with his spear placed forward, he pierced her stomach with the tip. Andrea felt the spear impale her deeply. Her eyes went wide with pain as the spear ripped her insides. She grabbed the shaft with her hands and coughed up some blood. Moments later, a sword blade slammed into her left arm as well, and the painful sensation raced up her arm.

“Goddess! Katalina!” With another strike to her abdomen from the swordsman, her eyesight filled with stars, and she passed out. Her blood rushed out of the wound as the spearman pulled the weapon out and stabbed her again, repeatedly.
