Weeks go by and Damon and myself have traveled all over the West visiting the different packs and helping their Alphas where needed. One Alpha was better than the other at organizing their pack affairs. But they are all thrilled with us as their king and queen.

Today we have a rest day and with this beautiful weather it is the day for an annual family barbecue. Damon's father is behind the grill with his old Beta and Gamma who is now my mother's new husband. That means I have a stepfather and two annoying stepbrothers. "It is well. Zoë just told me." Damon looks at me confused before a smile appears on his lips.

"Do you already know that a cub is growing inside you."

"Yes, I learned in biology that people can feel implantation. So it must be painful for a Lycan. A good pregnancy test if you ask me. I find it strange that everything is moving faster for us. Nine days for a human is a few minutes for a Lycan. How long will the pregnancy last? I hope six months, like a werewolf."

"Everything will be all right. We have time and if our cub arrives sooner than expected, I will welcome him or her with both arms.” Damon smiles before he showers me with small kisses.
