Chapter 18

Once stratified I open the door walking out as Ezra closes the door to whoever came in.

“Who decided to pay us a visit so soon?” I ask

“It was just Derek. Says we should all go out to scout the city and the spots for the hit.” Ezra responds

Turning around his eyes widened, “I’m going to have to make sure everyone knows you’re mine.”

“Well you know I got to make your eyes turn somehow”, I say with a giggle.

“Hey Ez no one is going to find it weird to see a humanoid animal couple walking down the street?” I ask skeptically

Ezra looks at me with a raised eyebrow.

“Come one Ez who is now going to notice a six foot five Siberian tiger male walking around with a small snow leopard woman. We are going to stand out.” I say, honestly voicing my concerns.

“Though that may be true Ami there are plenty of spliced people in this city that no one would really take that much notice to us.” he explains

“Uh huh I bet you a new pair of knee high boots that someone is going to ask you to join their model agency tonight” I say rolling my eyes

“I’ll take your bet but if I win I’ll put you into any role play costume I want just for me.” he looks down at me with a glint in his eyes.

“Then the bet is on!” I say

With that we both walked out of the room and headed down the hall to the living room. Where Megan and Derek were looking over the plans for Gordon’s re-election fundraiser and the surrounding area.

“Everything all set for tomorrow guys?” I ask

“Yep, we are looking good for everything to go according to plan.” says Derek.

“Come let’s go out so get an idea of the lay of the land”. Says Megan

She was dressed in a short midnight blue dress that cut mid thigh and gladiator sandals.

“You look like you are going clubbing” I say.

“That’s because we are. The location for Gordon’s re-election fundraiser is in the hottest club in the city.” Says Megan

“Megan if it’s the hottest club then how the hell are we going to get in?” I ask skeptically.

“By invitation, I might have used you as an available for purchase date for a night with the money going to Gordon’s fundraiser re-election funds.” Megan says sheepishly.

“What!!!”,roared Ezra and I in unison.

“What the hell would make you think that I would agree to this at all! And what the fuck happened to the plan we made back at HQ?!” I seethed

“We needed an in and they wanted a woman to be used to raise money, preferably an attractive one. I mentioned it to you when I went undercover a few weeks back.” Megan shrugs.

“And you think I would just agree to this?” I ask in disbelief

“Well it gives us an in and Ezra would be there as your handler. So I thought it would be ok. Plans change Ami get over it” She states admitting to what she has done.

With Ezra as my handler it would make me feel safer but I still don’t like Megan pulling stunts like this. I sigh before answering.

“First off, no more pulling this shit without asking me first. Second, whatever money comes from my auction goes straight to me and third, Ezra doesn’t leave my side or someone i.e. the buyer is going to end up dead.” I say matter of factly while glaring at her.

“Heh heh agreed” Megan says nervously, understanding my reference.

Ezra looks at me clearly not happy but doesn’t say anything. I can tell he is trying to trust my decision even when he doesn’t agree to it. However, I get the feeling that he feels better knowing that he will be by my side all night. Regardless of whoever tries to purchase me. The four of us get into the car after leaving the safe house.

Derek in the driver’s side, Megan in the front, Ezra and I take our seats in the back. It took us about twenty minutes to get into town. Derek pulls up in front of the club by the valet. Who opens our doors as Derek turns off the car and steps out. Ezra steps out on the same side as Derek.

Ezra turns to me, “When this is done I am going to burn that outfit”

“If you burn this outfit you best be buying me a new LostZone shirt”, I made eye contact.

“Don’t think you can burn my favorite shirt and not replace it with a new one and I am charging you extra. You are also getting me their new sweater too.”

“Fine, deal”, he responds

While Megan and I exit on the side closest to the club. Derek hands the valet the keys. Ezra lays his hand on the small of my back and leads me inside. Megan and Derek close behind. Once inside Derek and Megan take their seats in the private showing area.

While Ezra leads me to where the rest of the women with their handlers are to be auctioned off. I don’t like this feeling. I feel like something is going to happen tonight. And I do not like it one bit. I stand next to a rabbit spliced woman who is dressed in a club dress that hits her mid thigh hugging her butt.

The rest of the women are all dressed similarly with short club attire of different varieties. All with their handlers behind them. I counted fourteen women, some spliced with animals others not, with me that made fifteen. And I was the only snow leopard woman in the room. This is going to get interesting and I do not mean that in a good way.

After lining up next to the other women hidden behind a curtain. The show begins with Gordon BefWellington taking the stage.

“Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you to this wonderful event” he smiles and the crowd claps in response.

“Tonight there are fifteen women with handlers that are available for purchase. These women were provided and therefore do not need to be returned. They will be yours to keep.” he states
