Chapter 8

His eyes. They were just a light colour. Brown, a hazel, a type of brown mixed with gray. I don’t know.

“What?” Oli asked pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked at him and then back at the Alpha King.

I turned around and ran inside and upstairs straight to my room. I locked the door behind and smiled.

I have a mate as well Ava. I have a mate I thought smiling brightly to myself. This is the most I have smiled in my life. And it’s because I have mate.

“I have a mate as well” I giggled laying on the bed, smiling to myself.

I can live a normal life now Ava I thought and she nodded

“Emily! Open the door” I heard dad say and I nodded. I stood up and opened the door to see dad and mom standing there.

“Oliver told us you found your mate. But why did you run?” Mom asked walking into the room with dad behind her.

“Do you want a mate Emily?” He asked and I quickly nodded

“Yes dad” I replied and mom smiled

“She’s excited” mom clapped her hands and I blushed.

“Well come on. Everyone is leaving so we can talk to your mate. Oliver told us that he is the Alpha King. Wow” mom said and I followed her downstairs with dad behind me.

The house was empty. Dad walked us to the office, and we went inside to see Oliver, my mate and another guy standing there.

“Alpha King. Please sit down” dad said and my mate sat down on a chair.

“Dad I want you to do this. This is about Emily. And you are her dad” Oli said pulling the chair out for dad and he smiled and nodded

“I’m just going to take her home with me. She is my mate” Alpha King said getting straight to the point.

“But it is her choice. Emily? Do you want to go with your mate?” Dad asked and I nodded

“Yes dad” I replied and dad nodded.

“Oliver. Go pack her things” Oliver and mom both walked out the room.

“You promise to come back right?” Dad asked me standing up and walking towards me.

My mate and the other guy walked out the room as dad hugged me.

“Yes dad. But I don’t know where I’m going” I mumbled wrapping my arms around dad and he chuckled

“Texas Emily. Your going to Texas” he chuckled and I nodded as dad let me go.

“I don’t really want you to go because we only got you back, but I know it hurts a lot when you’re not close to your mate. I know that. Your mom moved a lot. But you have to come back someday okay?” Dad muttered and I nodded

“Of course” I said as mom walked back into the room with Oliver and another girl.

“Oliver found his mate as well. This is Maddy, short for Madeline” mom smiled and dad nodded

“I’m happy you both found you mate. Welcome to the family. Emily shall we go?” Dad asked and I nodded

We all walked out the pack house and dad put my suitcase in the white a car. I don’t know what it’s called but it had a nice shape.

I hugged mom and dad goodbye. And Oli hugged tightly

“Remember to call me when you get there okay?” He said letting me go and I nodded

“okay” I replied thinking about me not having a phone.

“I think we should be leave now” the guy opened the car door to me.

“Bye” I waved slowly and got into the car. The guy closed the door and sat inside the driver’s seat. The Alpha King was sat opposite me and wearing his sunglasses.

I looked down quickly as the car drove off the pathway.

I stayed quiet just looking out the window, but making sure I didn’t touch anything.

“Liam. How long is this ride?” I heard my mate say to the guy called Liam.

“We’re here” he replied car stopping next to a plane.

My mate opened the door and walked out.

I got out the car slowly to see him walking to the plane.

“He-” I jumped quickly as someone touched my shoulder. I turned around to see it was Liam.

“Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. Follow me” he smiled and I nodded.

He grabbed my suitcase and I followed him to the plane. We walked inside, and it was amazing. Everything looked like royalty.

“You can sit here” Liam pointed to a seat and I nodded and sat down. I was far away from my mate.

The door closed and Liam sat next to my mate.

Ava? What’s happening? I asked confused that my mate doesn’t want to talk to me

“Would you like something too drink?” A woman asked me in a sparky gold dress and I shook my head.

“No thank you” I mumbled and she nodded and walked to my mate. He took his glasses off and took a glass, of a sparky drink. I remember Cameron calling it champagne.

I looked out the small window to see we were in the sky. Among the clouds.

I laid my head against the window and closed my eyes.

“Emily?” I heard someone say and I opened my eyes to see Liam standing above me and I moved a little back.

“We’re here. Come on” he said and I nodded. I took my seat belt off and stood up slowly.

I followed him outside to see the sun shining brightly. It looked amazing.

I moved my hand up in the and created a rainbow and smiled.

“Oh look a rainbow” Liam told me and I nodded

“Here you sit inside. And I’ll put your bag away” he said opening the door for me and I nodded.

I sat inside the long car to see my mate already inside. Whats his name?

Liam closed the door and I turned around to see him putting my bag in the back of a car. He walked around and sat in the driver’s seat.

I turned around and looked outside.

“Are we in Texas?” I asked quietly and got no reply

“Yes” I heard Liam say and I nodded

“It’s a really nice place. Very sunny” I mumbled to myself moving closer to the window and staring outside.

We drove past more cars, trees and people. After 20 minutes of driving we reached the forest. Liam drove us through the forest which had a big path, and took a left when we reached another pathway which led to a big brown house. It was really big. Bigger than dad’s house. Liam parked outside and everyone stood around the car.

Jack! I forgot Jack. I thought worried looking at everyone outside

My mate walked out the car and went inside the house, but I didn’t move out of place.

Liam opened the door for me and I still didn’t move.

“Emily? Emily are you coming out?” He asked leaning down and I shook my head

“I forgot Jack. There’s too many people.” I whispered and he sat inside the car closing the door as everyone walked away.

“What are you talking about Emily? Don’t you want to go inside?” He asked confused and I shook my head

“Jack! I forgot to bring Jack” I whispered

“Jack? Who is Jack?” He asked and I kept quiet.

Emily? Emily you went without saying goodbye! Jack replied back and I sighed

“Who were you talking to?” Liam asked and I sighed

“My friend. Jack” I whispered and he nodded

“Do you want to come out now?” He asked and I nodded.

He opened the door and got out the car. He held his hand out and I slowly put my hand in his and got out the car.

“I’m sorry about early” I mumbled and he shook his head

“It’s okay. It’s a new place for you so you’re just scared” he said letting my hand go and grabbing my bag from the back.

“Yeah. I like this car. It’s nice” I smiled looking at it

“It is. Let’s go inside. You might be tired” he said and I nodded.

I followed him inside, to see two spiral stairs and a big living room. It was all open space.

“This is the Alpha’s house. Only a few people live it. The Alpha, Anna, me, my mate and a couple of omegas. Oh and Cameron” he said and I looked up at him.

“C-Cameron” I gulped and he nodded

“Yes. Cameron is the Gamma, the third in command?” He said and I shook my head.

“I want to leave” I said and turned around. I walked to the door to see it was locked.

“This is at trap. I know. No! Please! I just want to go home” I screamed pulling on the door as Liam walked closer to me.

“Emi-”

“No! Please” I moved to the corner as he walked closer to me as a few other people walked out of a room.

“Emi-”

“No! Please leave me. I want to go home. Please” I whispered closing my eyes and covering my ear and falling to the floor.

“Liam what did you do?” I heard someone say.

“I didn’t do anything baby. I just said Cameron’s na-”

“No! Please leave me alone” I mumbled before I fell into darkness.

Liam’s p.o.v.

“She fainted. God! Liam. Your going to get us killed” Nat shouted walking running towards Emily

“I said I didn’t do anything Nat. I don’t know what happened” I mumbled as she put Emily’s head on her lap

“Go get some water” she rolled her eyes and I nodded.

I ran to the kitchen and grabbed a water bottle and ran back to Nat to see Alec standing there.

Emily’s p.o.v

I gasped as someone threw water on my face.

I looked around and saw Liam standing there. I remembered everything.

“Please don’t!” I whispered quickly sitting up

“It’s okay Emily. It’s okay” a girl said putting her hands out.

“I promise I won’t do anything” I mumbled and Liam sighed

“Okay Emily. Let’s get you upstairs and in your bed. I think you need some sleep” Liam said and I nodded just as another guy came out of the kitchen.

“Cam- what are you doing here? Actually I need to talk to you” Liam mumbled to the guy and walked with him back to the kitchen.

“Hi my name is Natalie, but you can call me Nat. I’m Liam’s mate. Shall I show you, your room?” She asked and I nodded

“Please don’t let Cameron get me” I whispered and she nodded

“Did you see that guy? He is called Cameron” she said and I nodded

“He isn’t Cameron then? He didn’t look like Cameron?” I mumbled to myself

He wasn’t Cameron. He looked nothing like Cameron

“I know. You might have seen a different Cameron. Come on. I’ll show you a room” she said helping me stand up.

I grabbed my suitcase and followed her upstairs slowly. We walked past a room, where I could smell it was my mate’s room. Nat walked to another door and opened it. I followed her inside to see a white and red room. The walls were all white and rhe furniture was all red. The doors, the mirrors and the bedding.

“This is your room. You can sleep here and come down for dinner” she said and I shook my head

“No thank you” I said and she nodded and closed the door behind her.

Aren’t mates meant to be in the same room?
