He just left me there. He left me there on the floor stunned. He licked me, a kiss in the human world, and a head rub, a cuddle. I couldn’t understand. I got to my feet and scratched at the door. It opened and I walked in. no one was a round, well there were but not as many. I walked through the corridors and I headed for my room. I opened the door with my nose when I got there and I looked around. Everything was in place but my bed. Someone had slept in it, ruffled the covers and sheets. I didn’t mind so much. I trotted over to it and jumped up. I sniffed the covers and smelt Zev on them. I smiled slightly and then I curled up in a ball. I closed my eyes a slept soundly, trying not to think of what could happen.

I woke up with a start. Someone was there, next to me and I didn’t like it. I didn’t like people sleeping next to me with out my permission but when I sat up to look I saw the mass of Zev’s hair and his heavy breathing. I blinked trying to figure out why he was so attached to me.

I had somehow subconsciously changed my self back and I didn’t know how but I didn’t care. I walked in to the bath room and stepped into the shower. I didn’t strip down. I just sat there under the water. The cat inside me was angry but I was relaxed. I just wanted to sit there with out having to worry about anything even thought I knew I would have the minute Zev woke up.

There was soon a knock at the door and I looked up.

“Yeah?” I shouted over the water.

“Can I come in?“” the questioned.

“Can we talk?” he asked. I nodded. I didn’t move from my position and he said next to the shower. “I am sorry about earlier. I needed to run, intruders are my business when I am called.” I nodded.

“But you look terrible, what happened?” I asked. I noticed it was getting dark out side and my stomach made a small growl of hunger.

“Some one has come on to guard land. But they had also infiltrated here. They were looking for something or someone I guess. So I asked what they were doing here and he stared laughing. I lost most of my cool and took him by the collar. Only then did I realise who it was.” He paused and took a deep breath. “Four years ago while I was on a mission I killed the person I was after, of course I didn’t mean to but we ended up fighting and I killed him, or so I thought. I double checked and his heart had stopped but today the guy in the woods was him. He had come back to get me. The others didn’t know about it and so they called me out to help being him in but that didn’t work because I became so distraught I couldn’t think.

“His name was Danni Lovato and he had made my life hell for three years.” he told me. I was shocked but I understood. I was shocked as I knew that name. I knew it like my own sisters name but I had a feeling that I didn’t know him. I pushed it out of my brain thinking of Zev.

“Wow,” I said, unable to think of anything else. He nodded in agreement.

“Yeah, the worst part it, half the guard here today saw me break down in distress. My mother had to come and sort it out, she normally over sees things like this but she has never had to take control. Everyone is going to start loosing respect for me.” I almost laughed when he said that. I couldn’t help it.

“No one would ever loose respect for you because believe it or not, the lord of the guard, the heir to the throne is allowed to break down as well. He is allowed to fall in love or hate people. He doesn’t just have to have hatred in his life because that is what most people expect of him. Maybe instead of being so cold hearted and hard faced you should instead show some emotion every now and then like you did at home. I believe my mother pretty much gave you her blessing.” he nodded slightly agreeing with me. “See, just cheer up, okay?” I told him. He looked up at me and our eyes locked. He looked so sad.

“Thank you.” He paused but I knew he wasn’t finished. “About when I left you” he started. “I felt bad for leaving you there, I didn’t want to, I wanted to stay by you but I was called and I can’t ignore the call.” he told me. I nodded understanding. “I just don’t want things to be awkward okay?” I nodded. I leant forward and put my arms around him.

“I understand” I whispered and after a minute he relaxed in my arms. His head leant on mine and we stayed like that for a little while. He soon pulled away and looked at me. The water was still falling but now we were both wet, me more than wet, I was soaking. Zev’s fingers traced the scar on my face and I closed my eyes. It felt really nice.

“You’re amazing, thank you” I laughed a little bit but was cut off as I froze. Zev’s lips brushed against mine. It was soft and gentle. The tenderness was immense. I couldn’t move though. Though my hormones had calmed down and it hadn’t stopped me wanting every male that moved, I still couldn’t resist anyone but when it came to Zev I couldn’t understand why he would want to kiss me.

Zev pulled away and got up. I wanted to say something but I couldn’t. Why couldn’t I do anything, I probably just hurt him even more.

He left in silence and I sat just there not moving. The water pounded my back and it hurt but somehow letting Zev leave like that hurt more than anything else.

I was finally able to move and I hauled myself out of the shower and into my room. I changed and left. I didn’t know what I wanted to do so I headed for the gym hoping it would be empty. Some people were there and I was tempted to challenge each one of them but I knew it would get me into trouble so I didn’t. I set out on a jog around the large room dodging around all the obstacles. I felt amazing but tired. It was almost midnight when I stopped, everyone else had left and it was all quiet. I walked to the door and opened it. I bumped in to someone and with out look out looking at them, I said sorry and left. I didn’t know who it was and I didn’t care.
