Chapter 17 ~ His Care ~

I chose to ignore her words as we were running out of time. Putting on a victorious smile, I started heading outside after stuffing my fists into my pockets and urged her,

"Miss Young, follow me fast. We are done here."

I vaguely heard her sutured word,

"You... you tricked me.."

With the saying she jumped off from the bed and started trailing me off. The nurse quickly interrupted her pace handing over a paper piece,

"Miss, that's your prescription!'

I chuckled lightly at her demonic tone without being noticed by anyone. I started walking through the corridor fast and heard her high heels storming towards me like marching.

She gasped trying to catch up with my paces and complained from a distant away behind my back,

" Mr President, you.. you shouldn't have tricked me. I told you that I was okay. Why did you insist on giving me injections?"

I paused in my track abruptly before turning around and met her burning gaze which was filled with complaints. I assumed that if I wasn't her boss, she would have chopped me into pieces already.

I wanted to keep my image inevitable thus replied shrugging my shoulders as if I did it for my own sake,

"I don't want any virus spreading out from you. Moreover you will be around me always. I can't risk myself because of your foolishness."

Her face darkened as she kept staring at me with her cold dagger eyes. I adjusted my sleeves again before turning back and heading outside towards my expensive car rows.

IRIS'S POV~~

I puffed my cheeks before hauling up into his car. I couldn't register this foolishness of mine that he had been playing around with me inside just to divert my attention from the injection.

But somehow it felt sweet in my heart that he showed little concern for me.Hearing out the siren of the car, I snapped out from my wild thoughts and immediately scolded to myself memorising that he was only doing it for his image.

After we reached over the presidential office, I stormed inside Mr.Scott's office without hearing any prior order from him. I vaguely sensed his scornful gaze on my back as he skipped in his office.

As if I care?

Mr Scott welcomed me with a proud gaze as he asked politely,

"Miss Young, sit down. I heard that you encountered an accident. Are you better now?"

I threw my pursue on the desk before plopping down on the chair leisurely. I have a long sigh before replying with due respect,

"I'm fine, Mr Scott. Thanks for your concern."

He beamed into a satisfied smile and spitted out finally,

"The ceo's have been very impressed with your task. Perhaps president will consider soon to promote your post. By the way, you never mentioned in your cv that you are a professional hacker?"

For the rest of the day, I stayed in Mr. Scott's office finishing my works slowly and hadn't received anymore order from Mr President. I was so devastated into works that I forgot to look at the mechanical clock hanging just in front of my eyes.

By the time, I felt exhausted, the evening had fallen down welcoming a chilling night. Mr.Scott had already left for the Eden International Limited after giving me some instructions.

I yawned loudly out of tiredness and rubbed by lazy eyes gently. Glancing at the mechanical clock, I found that it was already 8:30 at night.

head back to my apartment now, I

decided to leave the office now. Thus I headed outside only finding the empty staffroom and my eyes subconsciously looked at a certain room.

The light had been turned off.

Thus I assumed that he had left the office too.

I hauled up in the office elevator before striding down at the ground floor. Without the security guards, I didn't find any office staffs except me.

I went straight outside only to be

I cursed under my breath and waited for a taxi patiently. My hands occasionally went to rub my exposed arms in shiver and cold. My eyes were glued at the empty street as I started to move ahead impatiently. Fuck! I don't want to be stuck in my office room for the entire night!

My apprehensive gaze was stuck on the concreted street like a lost child who just wanted to head back to her home. But there wasn't any single taxi left that could help me out in this situation. Except some private cars who didn't give damn of my condition passed away one by one.

Another thunderstroke crashed down from the sky as I jolted shifting in a corner. When I finally thought that I had to go back to the office again, a familiar Maybach stopped just in front of me suddenly.

I jerked off and stared at the closed window blankly anticipating a figure inwardly.

The blacked window pulled down slowly as I spotted the domineering man inside. He spitted out ordering like a big boss,

"Get in the car."

I was stunned for a couple of seconds and intended to turn down his offer. He could have asked me nicely that did I need lift?

I hate this damn attitude honestly!

Standing straight ahead, I wanted to speak out those words but my words were swallowed back when I received a death glare from him.

Squirming like a kitten inwardly, I climbed up in the car but this time, I sat in the back seat hastily. After I sat down, I realised my mistake thus wanted to shift my spot.

But judging his nonchalant expression, I decided to let it be like that. The chauffer started the engine as he started the car without hearing out my address.

I diverted my gaze outside and tried to ignore him as much as possible.

I don't know why his presence makes me uneasy!

Still my disobedient eyes started noticing his little movements vaguely. His eyes were stuck on the rain droplets falling on the car's window and seemed to sink in deep thoughts. Much to my surprise, he quickly turned his head to notice my peripheral gaze. I was surprised for a moment before started rubbing my arms awkwardly to hide my uneasiness. He asked indifferently noticing my movements,

"Cold??"

I shook my head politely and tried to read his intention. His eyes dimmed and suddenly he pulled off his blue coat.

I was dumbfounded at his manly gesture as he handed over the suite to me ordering,

"Put it on."

I looked up at him surprised written all over my expression and tried to deny once again. He read my thoughts earlier and suddenly drapped the coat around my figure.

I froze in my spot as the rough scent from his suit filled my nostrils encircling butterflies in my stomach. I heard his gentle tone while shifting further away from me, "You are quite stubborn, Miss Young. I don't like stubborn people."
