Chapter 10- Hell hole

I hear dad call me down for dinner, so I head down and stuff myself. He doesn't say much and neither do I, finally I break the silence...

"Dad?"

"Yes?"

"It's complicated." He shrugs off.

"Isn't this already as complicated?" He says nothing. "It's the second time something like that happend to me...why? What do they want! Why are they after me! Why am I so important!" I demand again.

"Hannah..." I turn away from him, I want answers not reassurance.

"I know it's hard and confusing...but the less you know the more bearable it will be."

"Can you at least tell me when this will stop?" I say calmly. He doesn't answer, instead he looks directly at me and gives me a hopeful glance. As if he's pleading for me to drop this.

"Soon Hannah... I promise." I shake my head and cross my arms. This is bullshit! I storm upstairs and slam the door. I hear dad call out for my name but I don't answer back. I close the curtains to my window and turn on my desk light. My chest heaves up and down, I slowly sit down on my bed and sit there... Waiting for my thoughts to be sorted and sleep to take over me. In the morning, I do the normal routine and head for school. I walk to my locker and overhear a high pitched giggle. A girl stands by Ian's locker, she curls her hair with her finger and looks at him. Oh, give me a break! Wait...Ian! He might tell me what the hell is going on! Argh! But he's such an ass! I can't believe I'm coming to him for help, but he may be the only one that will tell me! I walk up to his locker and stop, this seemed a lot easier when I thought about it. But now, I'm not so sure. The girl giggles out loud.

"Um...who are you?" She rudely asks. Ian moves his bored expression to me now. Damn, I forgot how I freeze everytime I'm near him! It feels like I'm suffocating!

"I already told you Han, I'm not interested." He shrugs off. Wait what! The girl giggles.

"N-no that's not what I-" Argh! Why am I stuttering! He smirks at me. Damn it! I forgot he can read my thoughts or- feel them...some shit like that! He pushes himself off his locker,

"Can't you take a hint! Get...Lost!" People walk over and stare while others snicker. I can hear people whispering. I stand there frozen, himulated! THAT BASTARD! Why would he? I look around in horror as everyone around me laughs and snickers. I look back at him, he gives me an intimidating glare. I run through the hallways and barge in the girl's bathroom and have a good cry. The rest of the school day people keep throwing notes or making jokes about what went down. At the end of the day I head to my locker and feel the presence of someone standing behind me. I turn around and see the cocky bastard himself! I shove him hard.

"Get the fuck away from me!" My eyes start to sting. He stands back looking slightly amused.

"Are you done?" Argh!

"Go to hell!" I yell back.

"Tsk, it's not that hard for me to break you Hannah." I pant while drenched in frustration tears. "I may be bonded to you, but that doesn't mean I can't hurt you." I glare at him, "So... don't push it." He threatens. "I already told you everything you need to know, so there's no need for you to go digging."

"No need for me to go digging! It's my life that's on the line I have every damn right to-"

"You don't know shit! Hannah, and your situation isn't going to get better if you did. It's because of me you're here, it's because of me your breathing!-"

"And it's because of you, they're after me." I add. HIs eyes glow misty purple. I'm too angry to show any ounce of fear. But inside I'm trembling, I can feel my whole body shaking from fear and anger.

"It doesn't matter how we got in this fucked up situation! It doesn't change a damn thing! I'm still stuck with you and you're still stuck with me!" His neck vein begins throbbing. "So you better get used to it." He grits. Well whoever did this! Is the worst fucking person on earth! Because of them I have to deal with him! Because of them I have trouble sleeping! Because of them my life is crumbling bit by bit. The weekends came, and I didn't have the heart nor care to fix things with dad. If he had just told me Ian wouldn't have-Argh! I hate this! I hate all of it! I miss my home and my life before all of this...I just want to go home...

Ian POV,

She's already asking too many questions today! The ones that I can't answer! The last thing I need is for her to be hunted down from the council! It's already hard enough to keep her from getting captured. Not to mention, she has to be so damn naive! And human! Argh! Soon as I take out one of the clans they'll rethink their decision for crossing me and my father. My father already left to find out who's behind all of this. We've had some conflicts with other clans before, but all of a sudden dozens of them are lined up to take me out! I feel a pat on my shoulder, I flinch then relax when I see it's Ali.

"Sorry, I just wanted to let you know we're heading out soon." She says softly. Her gaze holds mine. Don't give me that look!

"Allright." I walk past her. I could still feel her gaze on me as I walked away. I climb into the van with the others. Ali is the last to get in, soon as the van doors are closed Thomas steps on the gas pedal. I turn to the window so I can focus on my breathing. I close my eyes and open them. I turn away from the window, and get everyone's attention. "Allright!" They all turn to face me. Thomas watches me in the rearview mirror. "We make this quick and simple." They nod subtly. "And remember..." I hold their gaze. "No witnesses." Usually I'm not so shaken up during these tasks. But this one is different, we're not dealing with the usual objective. I've got the best of the best with me. So far I haven't got any crap from them, usually my father is the one who leads these operations. Since he's not here, I'll have to be the one who orders them and guides them. Thomas stops the car, the sounds of gear and amo being clicked echo in the van. Thomas steps out the van to scope the area. I press on my earpiece to turn it on.
