She Cried Wolf (OLD)
Part 21

Previously:

“What are you going to do to her?” I question.

“Well, your little mate is smelling oh so sweet with her upcoming heat, So we will be having some fun,”

I curse. I completely forgot about the female heat. “You won’t touch her. I’ll kill you if you do,”

He clicks his tongue.

“Oh, how I’ve missed your threats. Now as much as I love talking with you, I must get back to my very helpful mate, whom you know as Sydney. Ta-ta Little cousin,” The line goes dead.

I throw my phone and it lands with a crack on the other side of the room. “Damnit!” I growl angrily as I begin pacing. Suddenly, I get an idea. I focus on the link tying Ashley and I together. Then, I push my way into her head. I’m just about in when a wall pushes me out. A drug wall, not a wall she built. I link Hunter and Kyle to meet me in my office right away.

Once they arrive I have Daniel explain what went down. They knew about their mates being drugged but not that Ashley’s been taken. They think we should wait it out a bit before tearing the world apart to find her. I know that’s not an option.

“She’s about to go in heat,” I say simply. “You haven’t completed the mating process?” Daniel asks, face white as snow. I fall back into my chair and run a hand down my face. “No, I didn’t want to pressure her into anything because of the abuse she went through before I found her. She wasn’t even a virgin.” All eyes snap to mine. Daniel growls and slams a fist onto the table.

“Your joking right?” Hunter asks tightly. I sigh. “If only I were. She told me horror stories about what they did to her. She was thirteen the first time-” I cut myself off, unable to finish. “They are sick,” Kyle mutters. There are a lot of other words I’ve been using to describe them and sick is putting it nicely.

“Harry is going to use her heat to his advantage. We need to get her back before it sets in.”

Harry is my cousin on my mother’s side-My mother had a sister-we were together all the time. Harry was about ten years older than me. He used to be normal. I remember we got along but teased each other the way siblings would. Harry’s mother struggled to have children as did my mother. We were both only children. Which would have worked out perfectly. Our parent’s packs were close enough that we could meet up on the weekends. (Harry’s parents were Alpha and Luna of one of the smaller Alaska packs, known as the Dark Moon Pack. Our packs were strong Allies) As I grew older I became exposed to Harry’s sinister side. His wolf had gone completely feral. He refused to take over the pack when he turned 18 and as result, his father stayed Alpha. Then, a month after my eighteenth birthday my parents traveled to the Dark Moon pack to go over some business. They never made it home. Harry had gotten himself mixed up with a group of rouges and together they killed half the pack. Including both Alphas and Lunas. When the Werewolf council searched for him, he’d vanished.

Two days after being taken I become increasingly hot. It started slowly, came in waves. Now, it’s unbearable. Sweat soaks my clothing and drips down my back. Nausea churns my stomach. “Raja? What is wrong with me?” I question my other half weakly. “I’m so sorry, Il Mio Umano. You’re going into heat,” she responds from her cage. I furrow my eyebrows. “What is that?” I ask back. “Oh, umana. The heat is the Moon Goddesses’ way of pushing her pairs to finish the mating process.” She whines as a wave of pain shoots through my body. “Keep cleaning bitch,” Lydia spits. I yelp as her hand shoves my head forward. I pick the sponge back up and continue scrubbing the grimy floor. With each movement, pain shoots through my body. I bite back a whimper as the pain intensifies over time.

When Lydia finally leaves, I get lost in scrubbing the floor and keeping my face expressionless.

Once I’m allowed to return to the basement, I throw myself on the lumpy mattress, and curl into a ball, hoping the now unbearable pain will fade. Hot tears begin to drip onto the dirty blanket. I startle when an unfamiliar pair of boots stop in front of me. Upon looking up I see Harry, Jackson’s cousin. Or ex-cousin? I mean, if my cousin murdered four of my family members I wouldn’t consider them a cousin. But then again, I don’t have any family. A throat is cleared snapping me out of my thoughts. I managed to distract myself from the pain for a few minutes but once my concentration is broken, the pain rushes back. I look up. “Did you even hear what I said?” Harry snaps. I wince before responding. “N-no,” I stutter. He scowls just as a stronger wave of pain ripples through my body. I can’t stop the groan that follows. An evil smirk suddenly spreads on Harry’s face. “I can help you with the pain sweetness,” He says as he stalks towards me.

I’m too weak to struggle, but I know what’s going to come next. Raja bares her teeth and growls deeply but she stays trapped in her cage. As Harry situates himself on top of me the pain briefly fades. But faster than it faded, it’s back stronger than before. A new pain follows. This one from the mark on my collar bone. It burns and itches and flairs angry burst of pain that mixes with the other. I struggle to reign in screams of absolute agony. This pain is worse than any I’ve ever felt. Stars evade my vision and I fight to stay conscious. I eventually give up and allow the darkness to swallow me.

Sydney

Harry dresses and leaves me naked in bed, with a promise of a quick return. I grab my phone from the side table and scroll through Instagram. Moments later a strange sensation emits from my mark. As time passes by it becomes itchy, and burns. I wince when I touch it. I jump up from the bed and rush into the bathroom. Upon closer inspection, I see it’s an angry red. I throw on one of Harry’s shirts and leave the bedroom. I walk quickly to the basement where Ashley is being kept. I gasp when I enter the room. Harry, on top of Ashley. Naked. I assume that Ashley is passed out because she’s completely still. I spin on my heel and run up the stairs as tears stream down my face.
