“Ashley Winters. Age 17. She has moved from place to place her whole life. Her adoptive parents are Jake and Lydia Smith. Jake works as a private doctor. Lydia works at a bar. It says here Ashley takes a prescription for Anxiety. There are no records of Ashley before the age of 4.” Hunter concludes Monday morning as we walk into school. I thank him for his report as we walk into the first hour. My eyes lock on my gorgeous mate.

Luce whines when he takes in her pale complexion. I watch her the whole hour and grow concerned when she never moves her gaze away from the window. ”Kitten?” I test our link for the first time. I know she received it when she jumped slightly. "Who are you! And why do voices keep appearing in my head?” Her voice is slightly flustered and I smile. ”You’ll know soon enough. Now, why are you here? When you are obviously sick?” she scoffs before responding “Like I would stay home” I don’t have time to respond because the bell rings. I watch as she stands but grabs her chair and closes her eyes to steady herself. Luce whimpers again at the sight. She books it out of the room and I go to follow her but get stopped by my beta. “Alpha, is the Luna okay?” I growl my response. “I would know if I weren’t talking to you” I don’t mean to snap but he is stopping me from getting to my mate. He should understand because he found his mate already. So has Hunter. I’m the last one. He steps aside and I follow my mate’s scent to the girl’s bathroom.

I open the door and inhale the sweet scent of my mate. “Kitten?” I call into the bathroom. She whimpers making Luce whine. I walk to the stall and speak in a quiet voice. “Sweetheart, I need you to unlock the door for me” Soon the door opens slowly revealing Ashley on the ground leaning against the stall. She looks at me with tired eyes and I can see her face glistening with sweat. I frown and she yawns. I can tell she is about to fall asleep so I lift her into my arms bridal style. Luce grunts in contentment when she buries her face into my chest but whines again when we feel how hot her body is. I’m not even out of the bathroom by the time she is asleep.

Kyle and Hunter are waiting outside the bathroom and follow me to the pack house. I’ve already mind linked the pack doctor to be ready for my mate. She is still asleep when we get to the pack house and stays asleep even when Dr.Rhett takes her to an exam room. I nearly shove him against the wall when he comes back and tells me there is nothing seriously wrong with her. In the end, I carry my still sleeping mate to my cabin and lay her on my bed.

I’m in the middle of watching a training session when I feel a presence poking at my mind. I let it in. “Who are you?” I demand simply. “I am Raja” the voice replies. At least now I know it is female. “State your business” I growl getting impatient. “The person you are looking for is In Brookville Alaska” I freeze. “What do you mean?” I ask." Hazel. Royal officer Daniel, I don’t have much time. I am Raja. Principessa Hazels wolf. She goes by the name Ashley. We will shift in 5 days time. You must get there before then” then as quickly as it came, the voice is gone.
