Chapter 11

Kira stepped through the gateway and was relieved when she went unnoticed. She made her way outside and dashed through the field hoping to catch Ein before he left for the evening. As she walked up she found him locking up for the night. When he saw her he dropped what he was doing and hugged her.

“I can’t believe you’re back.” He said with a squeeze.

“I kicked ass to do it.” She hugged him back.

“Come on,” He dragged her inside and flopped down in the hay.

“Tell me all about it.” He begged.

“They couldn’t keep up with me. It was so cool.” She said as she hit the hay beside him.

“Oh, and there was this master and he admitted to giving me these.” She pulled out one of her swords to show him.

“Wow,” He said as it flipped open.

“It was weird. He even said I could look at him which is totally against the rules.” She gushed.

“Sounds like a lot more fun than I had.” He chuckled. “I missed you.”

“I missed you too.” She blushed. “But now I can come see you every night if you want.”

“I’d like that.” He kissed her causing her skin to tingle.

“Me too,” She said when he let her up for air.

“Does anyone know you’re here?” He asked.

“Just the stupid elder I sparred with.” She shrugged. “Other than that we’re all clear.”

“Cool,” He smiled and held her hand. “I like being around you.”

“Me too,” She blushed as he put his arm around her and pulled her into snuggle.

“Wish I could stay forever.” She sighed. “It takes too much time just getting to the archway and back.”

“Told me what?” She replied.

“Those gates open wherever you want them to. It can bring you right to me. You can go straight back from here too.” He explained.

“No way,” She gasped as he shook his head yes. “Son of a bitch.” She added.

“Is that any way for a lady to talk!” He gasped mockingly surprised.

“What are you going to do about it?” She teased.

“Just this,” He replied as he pulled her into a kiss.

“Oh,” Kira replied breathlessly.

“I’d better go.” She said as she pulled away from another kiss.

“You could stay with me. I don’t think anyone would notice you were gone.” He replied coyly.

“I’m not ready for that Ein.” She pouted and kissed him again.

“I’ll see you tomorrow. I promise.” She smiled and opened the portal.

“I’ll be looking forward to it.” He replied as he let her go.

“Good night Ein.” She smiled and stepped through the portal.

“Good night Kira.” He said and then the door closed leaving him alone again.
