Chapter 53

Domascus sat in the waiting room of the hospital. He rested his hands on his head as he wondered what went wrong. How could Kira have done this to him? Sure, he deserved it. But, his plan should have worked. It became clear to him that she had indeed become the most powerful pagan queen to ever have lived. The doctor finally came to him. As she took off her mask she appeared exhausted.

“Mr. Price.” The doctor sighed.

“How bad is it?” He asked.

“Your wife lost a lot of blood. We had to remove her uterus, cervix, and ovaries. It honestly looked like someone took a knife to them.” The doctor explained.

“Dear god.” He hissed.

“While we were operating she had a stroke.” The doctor said. “We did everything we could for her. She’s in a coma now. It’s up to her from here.”

“Wait,” He gasped. “She’s alive?”

“Yes, Mr. Price.” The doctor replied.

He smiled then, “Do everything in your power to keep her that way.”

“Yes sir,” The doctor said. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ (ꜰind)ɴʘvel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“When can I see her?” He asked.

“If you’ll follow me, I can take you to her.” The doctor replied.

Domascus nodded and followed the doctor down the hall. It wasn’t over yet. Kira had failed to destroy her human connection. There was still hope for him after all. He sat down beside her, kissed her forehead and smiled.

He whispered in her ear, “You failed Kira. I will find a way to drag you back here. When I do, I promise you, you will never see Avalon again.”
