Soul Sucker
Prenup

Ingrid Anderson (Frances Dortmund’s) POV

Denver, Colorado

Monday, December 5, 2022

“And if you will sign on this line here, Miss Anderson,” his lawyer said as he pointed to the bottom of the prenuptial agreement. It was a simple agreement for both sides. We both would keep the assets we had going into the marriage and evenly split any asset appreciation in the case of divorce. It also specified joint custody of children with a 50/50 split on child support. I signed my name, then set the pen back and leaned back in the chair. I reached for Landon’s hand; he’d already signed, and our lawyers were getting the notary signature that would make the legal document binding. A secretary made copies for me and my lawyer when finished. “That ends our business today, though I advise you to update your wills after the wedding.”

“I thought once we were married, the surviving spouse would get everything,” I said.

“That is the default case, but you should consider what would happen if you both pass. Without a will, your desires for your estate won’t happen. It could be tied up in probate for years as distant relatives fight over the pie, and the Government would grab a big piece.”

“I see.”

“You both have considerable assets to protect. I can recommend some estate planners if you wish.”

I smiled sweetly. “Perhaps after the wedding. We have enough on our plate now.”

“You certainly do. I need to speak to my client in private, please. Could you be so kind?”

I looked at the door, and Landon nodded. “I’ll wait for you in the lobby,” I said.

Lana followed me out the door of the small conference room, the prenup in her briefcase. “I’ll talk to you later,” my daughter and personal lawyer said as she kept going for the office door. I found a seat in the reception area. I was close enough to hear the conversation with my enhanced senses.

“This is all very sudden, Landon.”

“I pay you for legal advice, not to be my life coach. Stay in your lane, Doug.”

I heard a chair creak as someone stood up. “Getting the prenup was the right thing for both of you. I fail to see how selling your business and liquidating assets makes sense.”

“I want to sell the exchange this year to avoid the upcoming capital gains rate hikes. Besides, I haven’t been happy with my life for years. I had shallow relationships, shallower friends, and a job that wasn’t fun anymore. Ingrid swept into my life and changed all that.”

“I’m just saying you’ve barely gotten to know her, and now all this?”

“New wife, new life. We’ll take some time to enjoy our fortunes while we are young. When I’m ready, I’ll start another business my way. Until then? You cover my back and keep everything with the Exchange legal.”

“And your overseas dealings?”

“Nothing changes with them. Our Dubai banking partners like their women young, innocent, and untraceable. My people will keep that pipeline going. When I give the word, the bankers will convert the funds in our crypto accounts into hard currencies and delete the records. We hide the funds in a dozen fake companies, and the money is untraceable.”

“How much are we talking about, Landon?”

“The US and their allies have dumped hundreds of billions of dollars into Ukraine over the past few years. That place is more corrupt than a Tijuana police station. As quickly as the money and weapons come in, their politicians and military leaders are shipping it out the back door. I’ve convinced dozens of the main players to use one of my SafeCoins to hide the graft. With the billions of dollars buying in, the price of my coins has gone through the roof.” Damn. The USA had pumped over two hundred and fifty billion into Ukraine alone. “While the sheep buy into the market, I convert my shares to other currencies. In six months, I’ll transfer the Ukrainian holdings to other cryptocurrencies, then close down the entire exchange. Poof. My customers get their fortunes, I get rich, and there is no way for the authorities to trace any of it.” Holy shit! Crypto is the land of make-believe, and a ‘rug pull’ is where a coin gets heavily marketed to bring in investors before the creators of it close it all down after transferring the money to other currencies. “I expect to clear over a hundred million dollars, not including the twenty million you get out of the deal. Don’t fuck it up.” Shit. “In a year or two, I combine the fortunes into a fully legal investment fund.”

“And then what?”

“Then, Doug, I do whatever the FUCK I want to do, whenever I want to do it. That’s the goal of life, right?”

I’ll have a long talk with Doug after Landon’s death. He’s another naughty boy.

“I’ll take care of everything for you, Landon. It’s good to see you so happy.”

“Ingrid does that for me. I swear that woman is trying to fuck me to death, but I love every minute of it.”

I laughed to myself; I wasn’t, JUST YET. Landon would cum, and he would go. Eventually.

I pretended to read something on my phone as they opened the door. “I’m sorry this took so long. Ready to go, honey?”

I jumped to my feet and melted into his arms. “Of course, my love. Your medical appointment is in twenty minutes.”

“Fucking insurance companies,” he complained.

“It’s for my peace of mind, my love. I’ve seen what happens when someone close to me dies, and I don’t want to have any money issues.” We walked to the elevator, holding hands. “What are your ideas on where to get married?”

“I don’t care, Ingrid. I want you to be MINE in all ways.” He kissed me eagerly as we waited for the lift. “Besides, weddings are about the bride.”

“I only have a couple of people I’d want at the wedding,” I told him. “What about your side?”

“Pretty much the same. Do you want to elope? We could be in Vegas in a few hours.”

The doors opened, and we stepped in. “What about a destination wedding, maybe a beach or a mountain? Someplace we could all jet to and stay a while?”

“I could do a beach. Maybe do some snorkeling and surfing?”

“I’m thinking more like an overwater cabana, warm tropical waters, and no swimsuits required,” I said with a grin. “Nothing but swimming, eating, sleeping, and fucking for a whole week.”

“That sounds good to me,” he replied. “When?”

“Over Christmas? I’d like it if we were married before the New Year. I don’t want to wait any longer.”

Landon didn’t say anything as we walked out of the office building. Our driver opened the door, and we got in the back of the limo. The divider was up for privacy. “Is that too soon?”

“I’m going to be busy as hell at work. If you can find a place for the wedding and honeymoon, I’ll find a way to be there.”

“Good. Now, since the doctor won’t need your sperm sample, I’ll take it.” I fished him out and gave him a world-class blowjob on the way to our next appointment.

It was worth it; this job was going to be a lot more lucrative than I expected. sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FindNøvᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
