Lisa POV

I woke up in the hospital with August by my side.

“Where is Chris?

“I don’t know the thickness.

I frown.

“How is your head? Did he do this to you?

“I have a headache and slight ringing in my ears. No Chris didn’t hurt me but I don’t remember who did.

He gets in the bed with me and wraps his arm around me. Chris falls asleep on me which is the perfect opportunity to think about what happens and how am I going to handle it. Red is the one that hit me because he feels I’m messing up his plans. Apparently, he and his partners in crime are trying to make Chris’s life hell and take his money plus maybe his life. It’s basically whatever comes first. I didn’t tell Chris I remember because I think Nina(his baby momma) is involved. After Red hit me, I heard him say that he is going to Nina house. I hope he is talking about another Nina but I’m not sure, which is why I won’t tell Chris.

Speaking of him, his phone starts making noise.

“Damn. I was having the best sleep.
