Summer’s S**y Back with Two Babies by Danielle Griffin (Alick Hill ) Chapter 24

Chapter 24

Thinking of Joan, Summer felt nothing but hatred.

Sooner or later, Summer would make Joan pay for what she had done.

“I can stay to take care of Sanford, but it is conditional.”

Alick raised his eyebrows without replying to her. He seemed to be thinking that taking care of Sanford was Summer’s responsibility as his mother and how she could have the nerve to talk about conditions.

Summer had no idea of her place.

Alick frowned and said coldly, “Go on.”

Summer’s conditions were simple. She wanted to enter or leave the Hill’s residence as she liked and go to work in the UnitedIslands Group. That was to say when she didn’t need to take care of Sanford, she wanted to be free.

The conditions were reasonable, and Alick also would like these.

“Okay, but need to report your schedules to me.”

you

What a bossy man!

Summer secretly rolled her eyes up. She nodded her head to show her acceptance of it. She was thinking that she could find a way to run away when meeting Ballard and Abby.

Alick left after they made a deal. However, he was right. Summer could not sleep.

She tossed and turned in bed. Even after she finally fell asleep, she dreamed of the things four years ago as well as Sanford.

As long as she thought of what Sanford had suffered because of Joan in the past few years, she woke up with panic.

Summer swore that she would make Sanford get well.

It was not for the deal with Alick, but her kid.

Sanford got up a bit late the next day. Before he left yesterday, the three kids founded a group chat on Line. They had a long talk last night.

Although basically, only Abby kept speaking all the time, Sanford felt very happy.

Abby posted many photos of their foreign lives. To be honest, Sanford envied her.

Abby also told him that Joan almost made Summer die of miscarriage on the operating table, so Summer didn’t know Sanford before. Abby hoped that he would not get angry with Summer.

Sanford said nothing, but he felt a little relieved.

Going downstairs, Sanford showed an unhappy look as he saw Alick reading newspapers on the sofa. The little boy ignored his father and headed to the kitchen.

“Sanford, you are up. Wait a minute, the breakfast is gonna be ready.”

Hearing someone coming, Summer turned back. The dark circles around her eyes. startled Sanford.

Sanford glanced at her and asked with a little concern, “You had a bad sleep last night?”

Summer was stunned. “Don’t worry. I was just not used to the bed,” she smiled.

Not used to the bed?

Sanford blinked. He saw her sleeping soundly days ago.

The breakfast was almost ready. Summer did not make sandwiches today, which she was the best at.

Sanford felt sick to his stomach yesterday. She worried that the vegetables he had eaten. were not fresh, so she made oatmeal, pancakes, and a simple dish this morning.

Summer poured a bowl of oatmeal for Sanford and said with expectation, “Have a try.”

Sanford said nothing. Seeing him taking several sips, Summer showed a broad smile at

once.

But soon her happiness disappeared as Alick said, “Awful.”

Summer was annoyed. “Then you can choose not to eat.”

Summer was here to take care of Sanford, and Alick was eating the food for Sanford. Summer would not accept Alick’s comments.

Alick just tasted the oatmeal quietly.

“Only the oatmeal can be forced down.”

Summer was enraged, but she resisted anger when she saw Sanford eating.

Alick seemed not to notice Summer’s anger and went on with the oatmeal elegantly.

The pancake tasted bad, but frankly speaking, the oatmeal was good.

“Aren’t you going to work today?”

Sanford finished the meal and put the bowl on the table.

Alick answered, “I’m not very busy today.”

“Stay at home as little as possible.” Sanford put on a long face. “You make me feel bad at home.”

Alick was puzzled.

Summer’s anger vanished as she heard this and looked at her son with praise.

Great job!

“Who told you to speak to daddy like this?”

Alick glanced at Summer, suspecting that she had spoken ill of him before Sanford.

“Nobody.” Sanford leaned back in the chair and eyed Alick without any fear. “It’s because you like that bad woman.

“She treated me badly. I don’t like her, and I don’t like you.”

Alick put down the bowl. His eyes were cold.

“I’ve told you. Joan didn’t mean to.” His voice was also cold. “She can’t come here. casually from now on. What else makes you unsatisfied?”

Sanford’s face was still gloomy. “Everything.”

He had always hated Joan and felt disgusted to even hear her name after Abby told him that Summer almost died due to Joan. Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the ꜰindNʘvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Joan wanted to be his stepmother?

No way.

Alick gave up on this topic. He looked at Summer and said in a bad mood, “Get yourself ready. We are going to send Sanford to kindergarten.”

Summer was stunned for seconds before she realized that he was talking to her.

“I don’t work here, so please mind your manners.” Summer looked annoyed. “I don’t like being ordered.”

“OK.”

This man had always been annoying.

After breakfast, they set off for kindergarten. Sanford didn’t want to go there at all. He remained silent with a long face in the car.

Perhaps Sanford didn’t sleep well last night. He fell asleep soon.

Seeing the frown on his face even in sleep, Summer held him in her arms fondly and gently patted his back.

The gentle pats gradually eased Sanford.

Alick had seen this from the rear-view mirror. It was the right decision to have Summer stay with Sanford.

“Is it suitable for Sanford to go to kindergarten now?”

Summer was still worried. Sanford was not willing to tell what Joan had done to him before. What if he was bullied in kindergarten?

“The doctor said interaction with peers might be helpful for his personality.” Alick seemed to read her mind. “No one will dare to bully him.”

When they reached the kindergarten, Summer understood Alick’s words.

As they got out of the car, Summer saw a crowd in lines at the gate. All the staff members were here.

“Mr. Hill, good morning. Nice to meet you.”

Travis Erickson, the director of the kindergarten came and bowed to Alick with respect. “It’s our honor to have Mr. Sanford study here.”

Travis had seen many big names, but he still felt strong stress when facing Alick.

“Indeed, it’s your honor.”

Alick didn’t like flatterers, so he showed indifferent attitudes.
