Jay tightly clutched Doris by the arm. She was so angry that she lowered her head and bit his arm.

The pain was heartbreaking. On the top of his lungs, Jay shouted, "What are you doing, Doris?" Doris held the bite for some time. After a lap around the room, she finally let Jay go.

She sported a sinister grin as she said, "If you come for me again, I will bite you to death."

"Doris, you are a savage! Just you wait and see!" Jay held his arm, which felt really sore from the bite.

Doris had never seen some of those pictures in Jay's WeChat.

Jay had too many women around him. In fact, the man really had some trouble identifying some of them.

The girl in the photo was in some school uniform. She was obviously really young for Jay.

"Yes, she is in the junior year of the university. And she is way younger than you." Jay took his cellphone back and gave the photo a kiss. "This actually feels much better than kissing you," he teased. He just came today to poke fun at Doris.

Anger brewed inside Doris, and it had made an uncomfortable feeling in her chest.

"Don't worry, baby. He will come to our house this weekend." Nancy paused for a moment and asked, "Who picked up Bobby this afternoon?"

"Someone I don't know. He seems to be a driver," Nadia said obediently.

"Does Bobby know him?" Nancy asked. There was a hint of anxiety in her tone.

Nadia nodded her head firmly and said, "Yes, Bobby knows him. Bobby invited me to get in the car, but the driver didn't allow me to. Bobby did not leave until the driver carried him into the car." "Well, I see. Nadia, always be nice to Bobby when in school. Can you promise that?"

"Okay, mommy," Nadia said somewhat hesitantly.

Nancy didn't know how to answer the poor kid. In reality, she never expected that Nadia could ask her such a question. She was genuinely lost for words.

Good thing Nadia didn't ask any further. The girl simply lowered her head and remained quiet.

Nancy felt extremely sorry for Nadia. She never wanted Nadia to grow up with no father.

Nancy took her child to the sanatorium. That was the first time that Nadia would meet her grandmother-Jade. Jade didn't even know that Nancy had birthed a child.

Fannie never revealed this piece of information to Jade.

Jade never posed as a threat to the Ning family. The old lady even had troubles speaking.

That was why Fannie never did anything to harm her.

Jade definitely looked better than she used to. The old lady was so happy to see her daughter once again. Although her words were inaudible, Jade's smile was clear as day. "Nadia, say hello to grandma."

"Hello, grandma," Nadia greeted Jade politely.

"Who is this girl?" A trace of worry flashed through Jade's eyes.

Nancy consoled her, "Don't worry, mom. She is my child. Everything is fine."

"Your child?" Jade looked even more flustered.

"Mom, please don't ask me anymore. I can't explain everything to you all at once. Lie down. Let me wipe your body," Nancy said in a trembling voice. She didn't want her mother to know too much, so she shifted the conversation.

Nadia brought a towel over. The girl wanted to help Nancy in wiping Jade's body.

"Mom, I have a stable job now. Once I have saved enough, I'll buy a house and take you out of this place. I'll take care of you, okay?" Nancy said as she wiped her mother's arm.

"Ah!" Jade nodded with a smile.

Nancy felt at ease, knowing that she only had her mother and daughter in that room.

In that moment, Nancy felt that she had all the love she needed.

'Family is indeed more valuable than any lover,' she thought.
