Chapter 23

Alexander's POV

I am now losing my patience bit by bit. After what I witnessed down the basement in the quarantine room and after knowing that my mate was the shewolf whose with Malka, my hatred for the rogues especially for him grow more intense. I will never forgive them for all the crimes and chaos they have brought upon my kingdom! They will face my wrath and I will haunt them down one by one! I will crash and break their bones until they beg for their fucking lives!

I fisted my hands at the table but it was not enough to stop the anger that was building inside me. I grip my hands on the table and hurl it against the wall. All the papers and documents on it flew all over the room. The picture frames on the wall all broke down sending tiny pieces of glass scattered on the floor with the broken parts of the wooden table. At that exact moment, the door to my office flung open and came in Denise. My eyes landed on her and I came to her holding her by the neck and slamming her against the wall.

"Why are you still here!" I tighten my hold on her neck "I want you out of my life! Both of you and your fucking mate!"

"I can't bre-breath Alex!"

'Stop this Alexander Gabriel, don't waste your time on her!' Said my wolf.

Then I abruptly let go of Denise and I turn my back on her.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" She angrily yells at me, startled by my actions.

My nose is flaring with anger as I face her once again "Get out!" I retort back, pointing at the door "Before I could lose all my patience!"

"What is your problem, Alex?" But still,l she continuously ask and took a step towards me.

"My fucking problem is your damn mate!" I started pacing and controlling my anger for I would break out any minute now. Denise came behind me and pat my back and I stop pacing.

"Get your damn hands off of me" I let out a warning growl towards her and she quickly pulled her hands away from me.

I can't take this anymore. My patience and this anger are killing me. I need to be with my mate now! I need to save and get her from Malka! If I would have to kill all of the rogues then I would love to slaughter them all just to get her! Just to be with her!

I storm out of the office and head my way out of the castle.

'I will find you Mate' My heart soars and tingle whenever I mention my mate. My eyes change color from gold to black. I can't stop myself anymore, I can't stop this growing unexplainable feeling inside me that I really need to touch and hold her against my body. My wolf howled in excitement and was thrilled to have her mate.

'Before we could have her, we have to face him.'

I dash out of the castle and was about to shift when I heard Denise calling out to me.

"Alex! Where are you going?"

I turn to face her with eyes cold looking at her "Where do you think I'm going?" I cock my head to the side with a stern face.

She gulped hard before responding and took a step towards me "I want to come with you" She cross the distance between us and stop in front of me "I want to see him. I need to see him" Her eyes gleamed with unshed tears.

"You want to come with me?"

She didn't respond but she just look at me with a glint of determination in her eyes.

"Then come" and I turn my back on her "Come with me for you to witness how will I end your pathetic mate!"

I sensed her intake of air and her eyes widened at my words then she abruptly grab my arms.

"I said get your fucking hands off of me!" I whirled around and once again grab her neck. My claws dug into her skin "Don't you ever touch me again!" Then I roughly let go of her. She coughs hard while holding her neck.

"Mommy!"

We both turn to see the little pup behind her.

"Where are you going, Mommy? Can I come?" The little pup's pleading voice made Denise cry. She didn't respond to him instead she turn to face me.

"Please, Alex don't do this.." she plead while her tears poured down her face "Don't. Don't kill him.. please!" She took one step closer to me and reach her hands to touch me and I glared my eyes at her so she kept her hands to her chest "I need him Alex.." she bite her lips and shake her head at me.

I clench my jaw at what she said "And I need him dead" I said with no hesitation. It may sound harsh and cold but this is what I needed to protect and save my mate.

"Have you forgotten who he is? Have you forgotten what he is to you?" She fisted her hands clutching her heart.

"That man you are referring to is now long gone! He is not who you think he is!" I bellowed "I need him dead! And if you can't accept it then it's not my problem anymore!"

"Why do you even have to do this?!" Denise yelled, she is now also slowly getting angry.

The pup behind her cried out and run to her grabbing her hands, pulling her away.

"Mommy get away from that monster!"

I glared my eyes at the pup and he cried even more but while he was crying he look down at his feet and saw a small stone then he's eyes went back to me then to the stone and pick it up. He pick up the stone with his small little hands and throw the stone at me but it only rolled on the dirt not far away from him.

'This pup has some balls to do this to me'

I look at him darkly and I took a step towards him but Denise block me off.

I took a deep sigh to calm my nerves. I'm really losing my patience and I don't have to waste any more time on this matter! So I will let this one go.

I started to turn my back on them but Denise once again halt me "Don't kill him, Alex!" She cried out begging "I need him!"

I don't want to waste any more time listening to her pleas over and over so I didn't bother anymore to face her. I continue to walk away from them while the little pup still wailing behind her.

"I need him, Alex!" She scream once again but still, that didn't stop me "His son needs him!"

'What is she talking about?' My puzzled mind whispered to me.

Denise grab the pup behind her "This is Brielle" she said while holding the little pup "He is Malkas's son.."

I nearly left my mouth open at what she said. At first, I thought that this pup was my son! For she did get back here to face me and insisted to talk to me about something. But I didn't give her the chance to talk to me and this is what she was trying to say.

That pup was Malka's son!

"He needs to know that we had a son! That he has a son!" She can't hold back any more of her cries so she cried her heart out "His son needs him! He needs to know about Brielle! So please Alex don't kill him!"

But no matter how much she beg or what she said about the pup still it doesn't change what I need to do. It doesn't change the fact that I still need to end his life even though he was been my friend, even though he had a son now. It will never change what I have to do.

What do I need to do for my Mate!

I had already given them too much long ago. They had already left me broken when they had betrayed me and now it was my time to take what is truly mine! I will not give them any more of my mercy for it is my Mate that I need!

She is all I had now! She is now my world, my heart, and my soul! And no one could ever stop me from taking her from Malka!

Even if it comes to end his life! Even if I take the pup's right to have a father and to know him personally. He and Denise maybe won't forgive me for what I will do to Malka but I will never forgive myself if I will not save and claim my mate!

So with full determination in mind, I once again turn my back on Denise and the pup and instantly shifted to my wolf and took off into the forest as I continue to hear Denise's pleading screams.
