Chapter 26

Alexander's POV

I felt more and more shaken with rage and fury upon nearing our destination. I can't stop the anger that's settling all over my body as I pushed more my paws to run faster to reach her quickly. I scan my eyes to the army of wolves running along with me, ready for the war. Feeling their determination and courage to win this fight, I let out a roar to give them more power and to not be afraid, for their Alpha King is with them.

I am with them in this war!

The ground beneath us quivers from our undeniable bond as one.

'We're almost there' whispered my wolf to me.

I strongly pushed more to finally get to her. My warriors had stepped out first behind the trees leaving me the last to show up.

With one last roar, I reached the outskirts of the forest and step into the land where my eyes landed on the very one shewolf I was looking for. She is down on her knees in the ground along with all the wolves. I didn't bother to scan my eyes around for I know they are all forcefully kneeled by the power I have as the Alpha King and for them to submit to the authority that I possess over them.

My eyes are set to only look at her.

Just her.

It broke my heart to see her lying on the ground with so much harm done to her. She is full of wounds. Different wounds covered her fragile body.

She is also staring back at me with a bemused look while my eyes traveled on every part of her. Heat crept up to her face and a scent had slowly made its way to my nostrils. The wonderful scent I had ever smelled in my entire life! It was the sweet peculiar scent inside the small room at the rogue's hideout!

It was her scent! The amazing scent that I can't explain. It made my whole body alive and electrified! Just a whiff of her made my insides go wildly crazy for her! What more when I get to touch her?

I couldn't stop myself but smile lightly at her. My thoughts of getting my hands on her, holding her in my arms, and never letting her go.

She cast her eyes down abruptly when she saw me smile back at her.

I love to see we make her blush just by looking at her and I would love to do it more. She was cute when she blushed.

But without warning her feelings came rushing through my senses sending little spikes in my heart. Her thoughts filled my head. It made my heart burst from her emotions. Sad and heartbreaking emotions she felt against herself.

Don't think lowly of yourself. From now on you will not be alone anymore. No one will hurt you anymore now that I am here.

It tears my heart to a million pieces to see how broken she is from her sufferings. To feel her pain.

But now I am here, we are here now for you. I will protect you. Fight for you, so be strong now and be brave! No one will ever hurt you now!

My wolf howled inside my head. Urging me to go and take our mate but I stop him for we can't just take and claim her right now. We have a war to fight on!

And it's for the freedom of our mate!

He can't bear to see his mate suffering too much and it breaks him more to know that he can't feel the presence of her wolf. And that's because she had been marked by Malka. He start to sprawl and paced at the back of my mind.

'I need to feel her wolf, Alexander Gabriel. We need to wake her bond to her wolf' he worriedly says.

"Then do what you need to do."

He then surface, uniting our minds as one as our gazes kept locked on her.

Her emotions grew more and more intense until she can't bear the pain and she cried. My wolf can't hold back seeing how painfully damaged her heart is. How her life had been very hard for her and that crashes us hard a dozen times that we were not there to protect her and be at her side to comfort her. Her heart is full of misery and suffering. Feels her deep sorrows and her soul and heart are shattering bit by bit without her wolf.

My wolf roared angrily as the clouds above us darken more. He roared the pain of our mate. He let out a forbidding howl to all the wolves who had caused damaged and who had hurt his mate. All the wolves around pushed down more to the ground.

'Feel the power and wrath of your Alpha King!' He bellowed, roaring angrily at them.

No one will ever hurt you now! Heaving a deep sigh we continue to stare back at her and focus on waking up her wolf. Together as one, we let out an aura of energy and transmit it inside her. Sending her our power and energy to bring back her wolf. Determination filled us as we kept searching through her eyes. Pushing our way deep inside her, searching somewhere inside that lost bond. Until our senses and the energy that traveling somewhere inside her came across a dark energy force of bond.

I narrowed my eyes at her as my senses whirled deep inside of her. Swirling at the dark energy bond.

'It was their bond! It's because of that foolish mark of his!' My wolf yelled angrily.

We fight through the dark force breaking it but it fought back hardly at us. Clashing our energy at each other, fighting each other to be in control. It was the bond that's been keeping her wolf away from her. Pushing their bond away.

'If we can take down this dark force, we will be able to bring her wolf back' said my wolf.

"We can break that bond! I know we can for we are her true mate!" I certainly said.

With more power, we forcefully collide through the dark bond, wrapping our energy around it.

Her eyes shut closed for the different forces of feelings and energy surrounding her. Her body jolts in pain and her heart beats rapidly.

You can do this mate! We have no choice but to do this. I know it's hard and very painful but please hold on.

I wanted to say it to her but right now we stay focused to push and break down that dark bond.

The dark bond fights angrily, slamming its force at us but we will never back down. With more power and dominance, I push more of our energy to that bond to surrender to the power we have against him for it will never win against us, for we are her true mate! Until bit by bit, the dark energy weakened, its force slowly giving in to the power and authority of our bond to her, and then her wolf howled behind the dark bond. My wolf filled with hope upon hearing his mate and so with one last force, we hurled the dark bond away from her wolf, pushing it away from her bond to her wolf. Her wolf came out, calling and reaching to us. Howling to my wolf.

And that's when she surged forward. Her piercing howl surrounds the whole place until her eyes found mine.

Her wolf and my wolf stared intensely at each other.

'Damn that eyes!'

I astonishingly said. I am stunned by how sensational and breathtaking her eyes are. It is one in a million in this world.

She is one in a million.

And she is our mate.

Made just for us.

I can't hold back the emotions I am feeling right now. I wanted to grab her, take and claim her right here right now!

A low growl interrupted me from staring back at my mate. Tearing my gaze at her, I turn to my left to see that it was Malka growling at me. My wolf growled back at him.

"You can't take her away from me! She is mine!" He angrily yelled.

Without warning he runs towards me, roaring angrily.

He has just challenged me! He had challenged his Alpha King!

Let this war begin!

I took one last look at my mate before letting out an impetuous roar and making a run toward Malka. He jump midair shifting to his wolf and landed down swiping his paws at me but I dodge it easily. Standing face to face, eyes looking at each other burning with great fury. Growling and roaring at each other both not backing down while the war around us has started. All my senses are on high alert. Every strand of my fur is straightened up, jolting from the electrifying animosity I felt against the wolf in front of me.

"This time I will take what is truly mine!" Roaring at him with all my might.

"She is mine! I already marked her!" He angrily retorts back.

Not wasting any more time I attack him aiming for his neck. I gruffly bite down my canine sinking it but he viciously wags his body wildly to throw me off but because my wolf is more huge than his wolf, his strength was not enough to throw me off away from him. I continue to bite down enough to sink my canines into his flesh, holding him down as he continues to shake his body but it's not strong enough to free himself from my tight hold on him. He growled violently at me for it is the only thing that he can do. It wouldn't take long that his strength and energy will soon be weakened and he will get tired from all the wagging and shaking of his whole body.

Until I felt him slowly tiring out, breathing heavily I stomp my paws on his body slamming him onto the ground. While I still hold him by his neck and still he is growling at me.

"You don't stand a chance not even the slightest to fight against me!" Sending him the power of command and authority to submit "I am your Alpha King!" I bellowed, roaring fiercely. Sending more off of the power I possessed, bending them all to my will. The dominance in me flared out.

"And now you will pay for all your crimes! You will pay for all the cruel and wickedness you had done against my mate!" I growled once again to all the rogues around me "Witness how will I end this pathetic Alpha of yours!" Before I truly sink my canines into Malka's neck, I turn to look at her. Her eyes were widely staring back at us. I can feel her agitation, her heart rate beating faster, thumping loudly against my ears. Her wide eyes look at me with her tears threatening to fall.

'I'm sorry that you have to see this but I need to do this for you. For us. And for all the crimes that he had brought not only to me but also to this kingdom of mine,' I look at her with a pleading look and make her feel what I wanted to say.

I sensed her intake of air and her hands went on her chest. I forcefully tear my eyes away from her and look down at the wolf under my hold. He still kept thrashing his body under my tight grasp.

"You coward! Fight me evenly!" Malka screams harshly.

I can feel the desperation in his voice. Chuckling darkly at him I let out a low growl, letting out a warning growl. With that warning, I sink my canines into his neck, blood slowly sipping through my teeth.

A loud cry erupted behind me and that made me stop. My whole body trembled from anger. I kept my eyes train down to Malka and he is staring back behind me.

"Alex please stop! Please don't kill him!" Denise's pleading voice emerges against all the sound of chaos that's happening around us but I don't even dare to look at her.

She can't change my mind. My decision is final and that is to kill him!

This is what I am here for! This is what I need to do! To give justice for all his wrong unforgivable doings!

I look Malka straight in the eyes. His eyes are still full of anger and frustration. Hatred and fear. And mostly regret.

All his emotions fill my head but I don't feel anything anymore towards him. It's too late now to regret everything that he had done. He had let his heart and soul be surrounded by anger. He had let the demon wrap up his brain and consumed all of him and now look what it had caused him. He became a demon of himself. He was no longer the Malka I used to know. The Malka that was been my dearest friend.

'I will remember you as the old Malka I used to know.'

I whispered it inside his heart.

With one last look at him, my wolf surged forward, and with full force, we thoroughly sink our canines through his neck. Biting down, digging our canines deep into his flesh and unto his nerves until blood spurt out from his neck. His eyes went wide at what was happening to him, his body will wiggle under my hold. I heard Denise scream terribly, yelling at me. But I continue to bite more down on Malka, tearing my canines more on him cutting through the throat where his intake of air is connected until I felt his body slowly wearing out of life as more blood spurted out soaking his fur.

As I felt that he was already weakening down, I let go of him. His body lifelessly falls to the ground. He was harshly grasping for air. The rogues around had stopped fighting as they witness the death of their Alpha. Some of them tried to escape but more of my allied wolves emerged out from the forest. The fighters of the packs of the kingdom together with their Alpha had arrived and joined forces as one to seize all the rogues.

I take a look around me, where the battlefield is. Shifted wolves everywhere. Some are wounded, some are lying dead on the dirt mostly are rogues. I was proud to see that my warriors are all alive, injured and wounded but alive. I stared down at Malka who was now slowly dying out. His blood continues streaming out on his neck and spreading bit by bit on the dirt. Before his life ends he weakly whispered "I'm sorry.. Gabriel.." and his eyes slowly shut closed and his breathing stopped.

I howled up above. Sending my deepest grief for my dearest friend. All the wolves around howled along. Not howling of sympathy but rejoicing for victory.

As I gazed my eyes back at him I couldn't stop myself to feel a little pain for the last words he said. He had uttered my name on his very last breath. He had uttered my name that he was the only one who had called me by my second name.

Gabriel

He like calling me Gabriel because for him he think it was an angelic name and that it felt like I had a pure loving heart.

But now that I had remembered that, all he had said was not true. I don't look like an angel, I am a beast! I don't have a pure loving heart for I have a cruel heart!

'You just did what must be done. And it's all worth it for at last we can now take and claim her'

My wolf is right. I shouldn't be regretting what I had just done for it's all for the freedom of our beloved mate.
