CHAPTER SIXTEEN

I couldn't place the look on Thomas's face. Or should I say, Xander? I cannot believe he has lied to me. No wonder he didn't want anyone to know I was his mate. He was ashamed of me like I had thought all this time, and he never once tried to tell me the truth.

I can't believe this.

"I don't know what I ever did to you, Kelsy. But you have hated me since day one. So, yes, I'm half- breed and a mistake. But I'm Dad's mistake, not yours. I shook my head, "Ryder would sneak into your room, and he forgot his shirt one day in the hall. Dad was furious and said he would kill you and the boy both. "It's okay. You didn't know." Kelsy pursed her lips, "I knew he beat you. And I didn't say anything.” "Kelsy, it was a long time ago. I have forgiven him for everything." Kelsy frowned but said nothing. "508, we need to talk,” Xander said, clenching his jaw. I glared at him. Alpha king or not, he’s a liar. I shook my head, "We have nothing to talk about. You lied to me, and to top it off, my best friend is in love with you. Now that I know your liar, I want nothing else to do with you." I pushed past him and ran back to the kitchen.

Julia was sitting rubbing her feet, which looked like watermelons. I stood on the island entirely out of breath. Julia raised her brow, "You okay?" I shook my head.

She frowned and opened her mouth just as the door opened and Xander walked in. Her face lit up when she saw him, "Xander, baby, this is my friend..." He puts his hand up to silence her and strolls over to me. His eyes had so much rage and anger in them, and he grabbed me roughly, throwing me over his shoulder, and walked out of the kitchen.

I was kicking in, screaming at him to let go but to no avail. His grip only tightened around me

"Let me go," I say, punching his back with both hands. A hiss of pain escaped my lips, and a stinging sensation spread across my butt.

He slapped me.

"Don't you fucking dare slap me," I warn him. I felt his shoulder tense under my stomach, and he laded another lap to my ass.

"Ow," I shouted

"Be quiet. Are you won't like what happens next,” He warns me. I bit my lip to keep from saying anything, and my ass already hurts. I didn't want to know how far he would take it.

Xander opens and closes the door behind him, and he throws me down on the bed. The familiar room that He brought me to when I was branded.

I crossed my arms and glared at him.

"I can't believe you hit me,”

He rose a brow, "No one talks to me like you did. I would have ripped their throats out. You're lucky your, my mate,"

"You lied to me. You said your name was Thomas, and you never bothered to tell me you're the alpha king. You made me fall for all your lies, and you haven't talked to me since my heat." I bite my bottom lip, "Since I told you I loved you,”

He ran his fingers through long black hair, and guilt flashed through his eyes, and he sighed, "I've been busy."He says.

A silence fell between us, an uncomfortable one.

"I told you I'm not a good person. I did things you wouldn't like,” He pauses, my eyes glossed over as I stared into Silver orbs.

"I've slept with Julia, yes. But I have no feelings for her, and she told me she's having my baby,” My heart drops. I knew Julia wasn't having his baby. But, now that I know Xander is Thomas, and he's my mate. Should I tell him the truth?

"Xander, I think there's something you should know..."

"Kyle arranged for you to stay at my brother's kingdom for a while.” He says, breaking my gaze.

My heart sank. He wants me to leave? I didn't want anything to do with him, but I was angry, which would have passed eventually.

"What?"

"You leave tomorrow, I'm sorry. I won't reject you, but I need to raise my child. I can't let the baby grow up without me in its life.” Tears were running down my cheek, and I wiped them away with my hand.

I know what it feels like to be a mistake. But, I wouldn't wish that no kid, even though I knew the truth about Julia's baby. But, I wouldn't stand in Xander's way of raising it. He would be a great father.

"You're no mistake 508," He says.

I stood from the bed and walked towards the door. Once it opened, I turned to face him.

"I won't cause trouble for you. So, I'll go. Will you do one thing for me?" I asked. He nods.

"I don't want to be enslaved. I want to be a normal person. Can you make that happen?" He nods, "I never told him you were a slave. Kyle will give you everything you need.” I nodded and was about to walk out of the door when Xander pulled me back in and closed the door.
