The Alpha King’s Virgin by Charmeleon Chapter 87

Chapter 87

AMARIS

When I stepped outside to address my men, the sun had hardly risen. They were eager for combat under Lord Greyson’s leadership.

“My faithful soldiers, our queen has been abducted from us once more. There won’t be any mercy this time. I will deal with anyone who challenges my authority or my marriage to Queen Raine. They’ll experience the strength of our power”

“Sire, we are with you. More packs are arriving to join,” stated Lord Greyson. “We’ll demonstrate to them the full might of the werewolf kingdom.”

“They expect that we will surrender. Do we plan to give up? Are you willing to defend your right to make your own decisions in the same way that I am?” I was filled with pride to see so many of them prepared to give their life for their king as I stood on the balcony and looked down at their raised faces. After I issued my decree amending the previous regulations that forbade the wolves from mating with other species, there were more fighters than I had anticipated.

Their unified cry of “Yes!” filled the mountain air. Under the weight of hundreds of pounding feet, the earth trembled. “We’ll never surrender!”

More packs joined the march as we descended the mountainside. Because they didn’t want to leave their territories. undefended, my allied Alphas sent me words of encouragement and as many soldiers as they could muster. I sent a message to those who opposed me and publicly supported Sorin, promising to deal with them when I defeated the council and saved my queen and pup.  sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FɪndNovᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

objected to this. “I’m not a fan of this, Your Majesty. Before it turns around and bites us in the ass, we should deal with this treason.”

“When there’s a chance Raine might be transferred from one realm to another, Ross, I’m not going to waste time fighting my own subjects.” Besides, I wanted to give them time to change their minds. They knew me as a ruthless ruler, but I was no dictator.

“Amaris, where are you going to launch your initial assault? Knowing that the council is not detaining her. She could be anywhere.” He sounded despondent and I sympathized because I felt even more so. It was like searching for a needle in a haystack. But I was determined to find what was mine, even if it meant burning the world down.

On the GPS in the SUV, Ross pulled up the map of the paranormal realm. “Were Joanna here, this would have been simpler. Without success, I’ve been attempting to get in touch with her coven.”

“Yes, I agree. But Joanna is still recovering, and we have no time to waste.” It worried me that Raine hadn’t tried to contact me out of her own. Were her powers not sufficient to accomplish that or was she injured? That thought alone was the force that drove me forward. Goddess forbid that anyone hurt her.

Lord Greyson cleared his throat as he listened to our conversation. “If I may propose, sire… Shouldn’t that be the apparent place we need to start seeing as the messenger of the High Magus was keen to take Her Majesty to him?”

I agreed and nodded. “Lord Greyson, they would be ready for an assault. I suggest starting our attack at the weakest point. I’ve been to the citadel of the High Magus before, and every time I went there, they could see us coming from miles away. Not to mention that they have magic working in their favor.” I clicked a spot on the map.

“The gateway to the land of the Fae?” Lord Greyson enquired while scowling hard. “Queen Elif will not let her frontiers be left undefended.”

Naturally, no. She wouldn’t do it, in my opinion. But my warriors were fearless.

“We do hold a little advantage, though.” Ross stated: “I got word that a legion of elven and dwarf warriors would join us in the battle. We could even charm the sprites. They are sympathetic to our cause, Your Majesty.”

I was of the opinion they had their own agenda, despite being sympathetic to my cause, as Ross so eloquently put it.

“Can we believe they will turn on each other? At best, the fae folk are unpredictable.” I could not blame Lord Greyson for never having confidence in them. We’ve been on the receiving end of Fae magic and pranks on occasion.

“Can we make a decision? They’re waiting for our arrival as we speak. We may use the Elven bowmen to our advantage, to mention a few.” Despite their small size, the dwarves had tremendous fighting skills.

Lord Greyson seemed doubtful, but eventually he relented. “Very well, Sire. May the Goddess be with us.”

早早早

True to their word and much to our amazement, an army of elves, dwarves and a handful or ogres waited for us outside the southern border of the Fae realm. Ross, Lord Greyson, and I alighted from the SUV to meet them.

“King Amaris,” the commander of the Elven warriors greeting in their customary manner by raising his hand. “We have to

move fast, since Queen Elif is gathering her warriors at this very moment.”

He was a tall elf with silver hair who was clothed in the military attire of the Elven guard.

“Are you not among her most trusted commanders?” I regarded him with suspicion. Were they exploiting us to plan their

own revolution?

“Was.” He levelled his gaze at me. “Suffice it to say, we need a new, a more enlightened leader.”

Lord Greyson and I shared a look, I knew he didn’t like aligning himself with the Fae. Once you are in their debt, they think they own you. But we needed them to get to the other side of their realm, from there we could enter the High Magus” kingdom with less of a chance of being detected.

“You need us!” A burly dwarf with the wildest red beard wielding a double bladed battle axe shouted out followed by a murmur of agreement from the others. “We will fight to help you get your mate back.”

“But you must help us overthrow the Fae queen.” The elf commander said, “That is our only condition. There are more of us, sprites, fairies, goblins, waiting for my command to storm the castle.”

“Very well. Have you any news about my queen?” I had to make sure she was not being held captive by Queen Elif.

‘Are you sure you can trust this pointy–eared pixie?Rage growled at the back of my mind. I assured Rage that none of them could be trusted until they earned it. that seemed to satisfy him because he went silent.

“We have reason to believe she is in the Magus‘ stronghold.” By his body language and the even beating of his heart and breathing, I believed he was being straightforward.

“Well then, lead the way, Commander.”
