It was faster than a human…

“What?” she asked smiling back at me.

“Nothing, you just look really pretty in the moonlight.” I said still staring at her beauty.

She blushed and looked away biting her lip. I turned my eyes back to the road since the light turned green.

Suddenly, I saw something moving extremely fast at the corner of my eye. It was faster than a human, machine or even a wolf.

I gasped. It was a vampire. This is the wolf area, so vampires are strictly forbidden here. Wolves and vampires are not good friends so they stay away from each other to prevent chaos.

I realized something was not right and having a vampire in a wolf area at the same night the last alpha had turned for the first time was not a coincidence.

So, I speeded the car and turned around to go back home to safety. Celina spoke confused,

“What happened?”

Before I could answer, a man suddenly appeared in front of my car. I hit him but didn’t stop because I knew what he was.

“Oh my god! You ran him over. He might die! We have to stop and help him.”

“He won’t die because he’s not a human. He’s a vampire and because of the fact that he came in front of my car, his intentions are not good. Maybe someone got to know about you or I could be over reacting. But in either case, it’s best to take you to safety just in case.”

I saw her nod from the corner of my eye.

A few moments later, my car stopped moving. I had my feet pushing on the gas, the gear was at 4 and my petrol was almost full as well. I realized why my car stopped. I looked at my mirrors and saw a few vampires holding onto my car and two of them walking towards my door.

“Lock the doors and stay here. If something happens to me just drive to my house as quick as possible. Also, please, don’t save me if I get hurt.” I said and left before she could say something.

“Haw! You ran me over and didn’t even turn. That’s not a trait of a very good human is it? Or should I say wolf?” said one of the vampires cruelly.

“What are you doing here? This is a wolf area. It is forbidden for vampires to enter.” I growled at them.

“Someone turned on the wrong side of the bed today. Anyways, if you must know we got to know that an Alpha wolf is alive and so we are here to find her and take her with us and perform the Alpha moon ceremony.” Another one of them spoke.

“The what now?” I asked in confusion

“He’s annoying. Just inject wolf’s bane in him already and shut him up so he doesn’t tell the others about us. Rumors have it that the only alive alpha is being helped. The second one took out an injection and I quickly turned. I growled at them and attacked them one by one. After I had wounded three of the vampires, I felt a needle pierce through my skin in my arm. I quickly turned back and snapped the neck of the vampire on me, but unfortunately I was too late. I felt the wolf’s bane enter my body and weaken every muscle. The last thing I saw Celina drive the car and I felt a little relieved that atleast she’ll probably be safe now.
