Almost party time

POV: Gianna

Thankfully mom and dad arrived shortly after the King did and they took over the welcoming. It’s almost time for dinner so I race upstairs to my room to get ready. I go flying into my room only to see the King in nothing but a towel. I stare at him unable to control my body. His lean, but muscular caramel complexion is so tantalizing. I follow the water droplets down his six pack and a little further down to his V shape. I hear someone clearing their throat, and I look up.

I see the biggest smile on the King’s face.

“Did you forget you gave me your room, or did you just want to stare at me like a piece of meat, not that I mind though” he asks.

“I am so sorry, I forgot I gave you my room in my rush. It won’t happen again. I hope you enjoy the Hennessy, maybe we can have a drink later.” My cheeks are beet red.

“I’d like that very much; we can meet in the doorway after dinner.” He chuckles while pointing to the door that separates my room from Onyx’s room.

After about an hour I fed Onyx, got us both ready, and we made our way to dinner. As we make our way to the dining hall, I met the King and we both walk into the dining hall, and everyone bows. I blush and hurry to my spot.

I was so happy dinner was over, both my parents kept praising me about the job I did. I’m not one for complements so I was quite embarrassed throughout the night. I made my way to Onyx’s room and put him to bed. I hear a soft knock on the door adjoining room, knowing it is the King. I go to open the door.

“Greetings King Rasheed, do you need anything?”

“I was promised a drink with you tonight” he says.

“Ah, yes, sorry I almost forgot. Allow me to get you a drink.”

I go into my room and grab the gallon of chilled Hennessy and pour us a drink. I hand him his drink and walk into Onyx’s room while leaning on the door frame.

“Is it ok if you join me in your room or can I join you in Onyx’s room? I feel like Romeo and your Juliet we cannot be seen together.” He chuckles.

I laugh and walk into my bedroom and sit on the sofa closest to the bar, leaving the door to Onyx’s room open.

We are enjoying our night cap when Onyx wakes up. I say good night to the King and make my way back to Onyx.

“Have a goodnight my King.”

“Have a good night, Alpha Gianna” he replies sending butterflies straight to my stomach.

POV: Rasheed

It’s something about this girl that just makes me want. to follow her around like a lost puppy. I want to be near her all the time. I never slept so well, I’m not sure if it was her bed or what, but that was one of my best night sleeps. I am getting ready when I hear yelling coming from Onyx’s room. It sounds like Gianna. I put my head to the adjoining door to listen.

“Look Gianna, I know you aren’t going to find your mate tonight, but you need to leave the King alone. He may find his mate tonight and I don’t want you getting your hopes up. I see the way you look at him and the way he looks at you. Please sweetheart, I don’t want to see you hurt.” I hear her father say.

“We are just friends dad drop it. I know if he does not find his mate, he will take Octavia as his Queen. I am fine with that, whatever makes him happy. I am going to the gym to train.” Gianna says. Her voice is laced with sadness.

I move away from the door and walk out of her bedroom. Only meeting Alpha Anton at the door.

“Good morning, Alpha Anton I was wondering if it would be ok for me to train a little today before the party tonight.”

“Of course, do you need an escort, or do you remember the way?” He asks.

“I remember the way; Gianna was an excellent tour guide.” I smirk.

I make my way to the gym to train, and to my surprise I see Gianna and Trigger sparing. I must say she is kicking his ass. Just when I think she has him beat he sweeps her legs out from under her, and he pins her. I don’t know what came over me, but a ferocious growl comes out of me, and everyone stops what they are doing, turning their heads to me.

“King Rasheed are you here to train as well? We were just sparing a little, before I have to finalize the preparations for this evening” Gianna states.

“You want to spar with me?” I smirk.

“I’d love to, it would be an honor.” She beams.

We get into position and just as I was ready to make my move her eyes glaze over.

“I apologize my King, but I have some things that require my attention.” She says.

She takes off running and my eyes follow her.

“Seems like someone has it bad for the future Alpha” Trigger says coming up and slapping my shoulder.

I shrug him off and spar with him instead. This goes on for another hour or so until we are both dripping in sweat and Sierra, Gianna’s Beta, comes in to tell us lunch is ready.
