POV Rasheed:

“Princess Gianna, Alpha King Rasheed please step forward” council member Blaze says.

We stepped forward and council member Elisa unrolls an old scroll. She retrieves two quills, and my mother- in-law Fae Queen Belle steps forward as well. Tears are glistening in her eyes, and she has a huge smile on her face.

“Today we are here to witness greatness as the council members of the werewolf community have said it is a great honor to witness something of this magnitude.

We do things a little differently than the werewolf community your highness. We have you sign your blood on vellum, it is our most sacred contract and all council members and highly ranked members’ sign. We will have both of you sign the contract after Alpha King Rasheed is crowned Prince. Please raise your hands and we shall begin.” Council member Elisa says.

I do as I am told, and council member Blaze stands before me and chants something then places his fingers onto mine. I can feel my body humming and then a ray of light comes from my arms down to my fingertips. After a few minutes of chanting the humming stops. I can now see glows around people, I’m guessing it is there aura.

“The glow will go away shortly, but you will learn how to use it. As for now all new Fae’s will be able to see everyone’s glow.” My mother-in-law tells me.

“Alpha King Rasheed Michael Jones do you promise to stand by your mate, to help build a better community while protecting all. Do you promise to conduct yourself with the highest level of integrity and take responsibility for your actions, while laboring for the good of your community, keeping yourself and leadership far from all intentional ill-doing?” council member Blaze asks.

“I promise”

“Princess Gianna Antonia Jones, do you promise to stand by your mate, to help build a better community while protecting all. Do you promise to conduct yourself with the highest level of integrity and take responsibility for your actions, while laboring for the good of your community, keeping yourself and leadership far from all intentional ill-doing?” council member Elisa asks.

“I promise” Gianna says.

They both cut our hands and drip the blood into a small container. They hand us the quills and we dip them in the blood and sign the blood of vellum. POV Gianna:

The ceremonies were exciting and a little overwhelming I must say. I know I do need a drink after downing the blood and wine mixture. YUCK!

“Now let’s go have some fun baby, I linked one of the Omega’s to make sure the bottles of Hennessy at our table are on ice. Let’s have our first drink together as husband and wife” I smirk at Rasheed.

We walk into the reception area, and I am blown away. The ceiling is covered in black, blue, and purple icicle lights and silver twinkling lights simulating the nights sky. The tables are covered in black satin with clear chairs. The center pieces are HUGE, there are white, blue, pink, and purple flowers with some green leaves to bring in all the colors of our wedding.

We arrive at the bridal party table, and it is the only rectangular table. I reach for my cup to make Rasheed and myself a drink. I swallow mine down and pour another.

“Easy there champ, I need you lucid for tonight” Rasheed winks at me.

A moan escapes my lips, and my eyes turn black. The wedding planner comes and tells us that we are needed for some pictures before they introduce us as husband and wife in the reception area. In other words, we need to be out of the reception area so the guest can come in, I let a groan out. I slam my drink down and head out the side of the reception hall.

After what felt like an hour, they told us the guests were seated and they will have the wedding party come out first. Fine by me, I’m ready for a drink and to dance the night away. I hear “Walk it out” by UNK come on and the DJ start introducing the bridal party. Alex and Jordan walk out first, followed by Storm and Aaron, lastly our maid of honor and best man: Sierra and Trigger. They are all dancing down the runner towards the other end at the dance floor.

The song changes to “Go baby” By Lupe Fiasco. Rasheed walks ahead of me and leaving me where I stand. When Lupe starts singing “Go baby” he signals for me to walk out and someone hands him a sign with “Go baby, go baby, go baby” He is beaming while I make my way to him. He drops the sign, and we walk to the middle of the dance floor, he circles around me and the song changes once again to “When a man loves a woman” by Michael Bolton.

Rasheed grabs my hand and pulls me close. It was the perfect song for our first dance. I sway in his arms, and I feel like I am complete.

“I love you Rasheed” I tell him as a tear streams down my cheek.

“I love you too Gianna, more than life itself.” He says as he wipes my tear away.

The song ends and we invite the rest of the guests to the dance floor, while we head to the table to sit down for a little bit and eat some food.
