Chapter 19: Dead Eyes

*VENUS's POV*

After we got back to the Pack Territory, it was still funny how they just fell down on the gate in exhaustion. They were grumbling something but i was too unbothered to understand any of it. I didn't mind them and headed straight to my place.

I'm starving.

Once i was in the kitchen area. That's when i realized that Alpha Derek was living independently for some reason, so there was basically no one but me who'll cook for myself.

It's not a problem anyway.

I wore the apron and wrapped it around my body. Then i prepared the cooking materials as well as the ingredients before lying them down on the table. That's when i sensed someone coming near me, a familiar scent and how angry the footsteps were similar to only one person in this world.

It's him.

"You got back early." He says in a low menacing voice upon entering.

I sheepishly smiled. "Alpha Derek, i'm cooking lunch, do you wanna join me? Seeing that you've lived alone for so long. Then i guess you can impart some cooking tips for me?"

He ignored everything i said and sat down on the chair in front of me, "Venus, i don't care about your personal fetish. But you better not be doing anything shady to your squad or else."
