Carla grinned “Yeah, or what do you think?* 

*No way! I’m cool with the idea!” Diana agreed eagerly and they picked the time and restaurant. 

‘Okay, we’ll see later then “Carla said and hung up. 

“What’s that all about? Liam spoke up, glancing sideways at her. 

She smiled I’m having dinner with Diana tonight” 

“Are you up for it?” Liam asked. 

*Of course! I’m up for anything right now” She replied gaily. 

“Why did you want to see her anyway? You said you wanted to tell her something “He asked, frowning. 

She nodded “Yeah, I have to inform her about the pregnancy” 

He eyed her “You could have just told her on the phone when she called ” 

She rolled her eyes ‘No Liam, it’s a face to face talk, I have to see her 

This time, it was Liam who rolled his eyes “Whatever, when are you leaving? I can give you a ride ” He offered, having her best interest at heart. 

She shook her head and gave him a sweet smile” No honey, I’ll manage just fine” 

His cheeks turned red at the name she called him and he coughed slightly “Why?” 

She shrugged No particular reason, i would like it better if Ben take me there” 

He nodded, giving in to her decision “Okay” 

“I was planning on taking you out on a date until Mom butt in “He looked somewhat annoyed. 

“Liam!” She snapped at him. 

“What?” He asked, staring at her from under his thick lashes. 

She shook her head” We can still go on that date you know” She intoned and regarded him under her long eyelashes. 

He laughed “No way! Two dates in a day?! Not gonna happen baby” 

“Why?” She whined

He got in the bed with her and closed the distance between them “I don’t wanna stress you out Bella, I’ll make it up to you I promise” 

*Though I didn’t mean for this to happen and it wasn’t my fault but Mom’s “He added softly. 

Carla rolled her eyes “It’s all your fault Mr Blake, why didn’t you inform me earlier that you wanted to take me out? Diana did nothing wrong, she was just fast in stating what she wanted” 

He put his hands up in surrender “Okay fine, it’s my fault, I admit it” 

“Better “She said and waved her hand in dismissal. 

“What do you wanna do now?” He asked, looking interested.

She suddenly felt the need to throw up so she rushed into the bathroom, with Liam trailing after her. She vomited almost nothing as she hadn’t eaten but still felt weak. Liam carried her gently back into the bedroom and laid her on the bed. 

“Hey “He called softly” Are you okay?” 

*Not too good” She admitted. 

“Help me with my phone please “She added and watched him reach over to hand her the phone. 

Liam watched her in concentration mixed with curiosity as she dialed a number. She stared straight ahead, not sparing him a glance. 

“Hello good morning, it’s Carla Blake calling” She said when the person on the other end seemed to have picked up 

“Hi Carla! A pleasant morning to you, how are you? Because her phone was on speaker, Liam was able to hear the person’s side of conversation. It was 

a female obviously but who? It definitely didn’t sound like Jenny’s voice so he got curious. He thought of the perfect time to ask and the opportunity presented itself when she looked in his direction. 

He mouthed “Who is it?” 

She rolled her eyes in reply and gestured for him to keep quiet. 

“I’m fine Edwina, how about you?” She asked in a light tone and Liam frowned, since when did she meet an Edwina? He had no clue. 

*I’m good honey, I’m good. Is Liam’s heir kicking? “Edwina asked and both Liam and Carla felt she was trying to hold back her giggle. Now Liam looked bewildered, who on earth was Edwina and how much did she know about them? Besides, how did she know Carla was carrying his baby? 

Carla noticed his piercing gaze on her but she chose to ignore him. 

She smiled, obviously not at Liam * I’m good and yes whatever gender in there is kicking so well that I’m starting to have issues “She ended her words with a sigh 

“Why? What’s wrong with you?” Edwina asked in concern. 

I’ve been really weird lately and she explained everything to Edwina who laughed after listening to Carla. 

“Everything you said you’re experiencing is perfectly normal Carla, you’re okay “Edwina assured her. 

Liam finally knew she was the doctor Carla went to see. It seemed to him like they had formed a friendship within the short period Carla met her. It would bade well for her, he decided. 

“Are you sure? Carla asked softly, as though she needed the assurance. 

*Of course! Cheer up girl and go give that man of yours a hard time, you made the baby together after all Edwina said, laughing and Carla echoed her, looking sideways to see Liam’s eyes had darkened to a deeper shade of their color. 

*Yeah! * Carla said excitedly, totally agreeing with her. 

“Go girl “Edwina hailed her and they both laughed heartily. 

“Thanks honey “Carla said gratefully, her mind now at peace. 

“I’ll see you later, huh?” She added with a giggle. 

*Yeah and call me whenever you feel uncomfortable or something, okay? “Edwina said. 

“Sure, bye!” Carla said and dropped the phone.
