Chapter 69 

Carla had her hands full with taking care of Dominion and also trying to figure out how she could engage in something meaning with the little time she had left to be his wife. They got a nanny for Dom who was the exact carbon copy of his father. They had the same hair, eyes and cheeky attitude. Jenny sometimes dropped by to help her babysit Dom while she went out with the nanny. They went back to their busy lives and little Dom grew rapidly, to become a cheerful, happy baby. 

At six months, he had looked so chubby and big that one would mistook him for a baby of nine months old. He had dimples, which made him even more cuter. Everyone around him loved him and the name Baby Dom kinda stuck. 

*Damn! My shoes! She shouted and went upstairs quickly to grab them. When she came back downstairs, Baby Dom looked up at her expectantly, he did that whenever he wanted to be carried but tonight wasn’t it as she had a date with Jenny

“And guess what, Dom? Daddy will be home soon so you can play with him if you don’t wanna play with Mary, is that okay?” She said gayly, to lift her baby’s spirit. 

Dom’s eyes widened slightly and he grinned, a typical Blake grin that only the blood could understand. 

“Now, Mom will be back soon, okay?” She said and kissed her son’s cheeks before turning to Mary 

*Take good care of my baby or…” She said sternly and deliberately left her words hanging Mary shook her head quickly “You have nothing to worry about ma’am, I’ll do my best” 

Carla nodded, kinda convinced she could trust her. 

*Okay, if my husband ask you where I went, just tell him to call me, is that okay? “And she gave the nanny further instructions in which Mary nodded dutifully, promising to go with every one of them. 

Carla glanced at her baby “Bye honey, Mom will be back soon, okay?” She pecked him soundly on both cheeks and left the room quickly before his bewitching, captivating eyes made her not to leave. 

Liam came back home expecting to see his wife and baby but to his utmost surprise, he saw that Mary was still there, but why? He asked himself, confused. 

* Good evening sir, how are you?” Mary asked as she made her way towards him. 

He managed to smile “I’m good Mary, thank you, where is my wife?” He asked, looking behind her to see his baby sleeping soundly in a carrier. He felt his mouth twitched at the corners in a smile. 

He brought his attention back to Mary Carla, where is she?” 

*She went out but told me to tell you to call her “She answered. 

He nodded “Okay thanks “He muttered and went upstairs into their bedroom. Where was Carla and why did she ask him to call her when she could do that herself? 

He placed a call to her and she picked on the second ring. 

“Hey!” She said when she picked up. 

Liam winced and put the phone a little bit away from his ear because it was damn noisy where she was, 

“Hi, where are you?” He asked coolly and she laughed. 

“Me? I’m at a party, partying the night away with my best friend!” She said excitedly and whistled. 

He stared at the wall in disbelief You’re in a party, did I hear you correctly?? You left Dom home to go party the night away??” 

“Yup “She replied nonchalantly, popping thep‘. 

“See, I’ll catch you up later, okay? I need to go, the party is getting to the heights of it!” She exclaimed and was on the verge of hanging up when he stopped her 

“Carla wait!” He said urgently. 

“Yeah?” She asked impatiently, obviously wanted to cut the call already 

*Why are you doing this to me? To Dom?” He asked quietly. 

She feigned innocence What exactly did I do? Partying? Am I not allowed to?” 

He sighed “No you’re absolutely free to do whatever you want, but Carla, you’re nursing a baby and he’s not old enough to be weaned “He tried to make 

her see reason why she shouldn’t do things like that but knowing Carla for how stubborn she was, she refused immediately. 

“Not old enough to be weaned?? Liam, he’s five months!” She shouted in exasperation. 

“To hell with five months! Were you weaned when you were five months?! “He fired back and it seemed she was at loss for words. 

“See I have to go Liam, we’ll talk when I get home She said and hung up before he could protest. 

“Damnit!” He groaned in frustration and anger before he went into the nursery to tuck his son in properly 

Did you have a fight with Liam? Jenny asked curiously from beside her. They were in the tavi that would take Carla home first before Jenny 

She shook her head “No Heck, I don’t know”
