Brittany’s wound got hit, and it hurt so bad that she couldn’t even talk.

After leaving the underground parking lot, Will am intended to take Brittany back to the hospital, but she stopped him. “William, let’s go to another hospital” 

The place was swarmed with journalists, going back now would be like asking for trouble.

William felt an indescribable pain as he looked at Brittany’s pale face. For the first time, he lost his usual calmness. “Alright, I’ll take you to another hospital. Hang in there.”

Hannah sat in the passenger seat: her wrist was stomped and bruised.

Brittany felt a bit guilty if it weren’t for her wanting to leave, they wouldn’t have been attacked by the journalists.

“Don’t beat yourself up about it, those vultures are always hanging around the parking lot” Hannah saw what was on her mind and comforted her.

Her injuries didn’t matter; what was crucial was that Brittany couldn’t get hurt.

After arriving at the nearest hospital, William carried Brittany into the emergency room, while Hannah was helped by bodyguard and taken to see a doctor

Healing would take a considerable amount of time, and Brittany’s wound had gotten hit again. Things didn’t look good.

William stood in the hallway, feeling a bit restless.

He had just found out about Brittany’s abduction and was supposed to visit her today, but instead, he ran into a mob of journalists hounding Brittany.

Before Brittany even came out of the emergency room, Isaac had already rushed to the hospital

William was usually good–tempered; he knew about Brittany and Isaac’s marriage and never intended to interfere

But if Isaac couldn’t protect her, what right did he have to question him?

Isaac was stunned for a while, It’s my fault.”

“Isaac, if you can’t protect Bri, stop messing with her.”

William shrugged off Isaac, disregarding their years of friendship. “She was kidnapped! Her life was in danger, and you went to save another woman. Have you ever thought about how she would feel once she knew about it?” 

“You’re buying cars and houses for another woman behind her back and planning that woman’s future. What did she get?” 

William had no idea until he checked. Isaac was actually keeping a mistress behind Brittany’s back!

And Brittany, his wife, had to squeeze into a small two–bedroom apartment!

Isaac was speechless; he was silent for a while before he spoke. “I screwed up this time, but she’s my wife, so stay away from her.” 

William scoffed. “I never thought about crossing the line.”

He always knew that Brittany didn’t like him, and there was no need to be the third wheel

But if Isaac couldn’t protect her he wouldn’t mind stepping in.

The atmosphere was tense between them, and no one spoke for a moment.

Brittany came out of the emergency room, her wound had been re–dressed

Isaac quickly walked up. “Are you in pain? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”

“I’m fine.”

Brittany looked at William, and the corners of her mouth rose slightly. “William, thank you.”

After hearing the thank you, William felt a bit sad. “Your wound still hurts: you should rest.”

He paused. “I have some issues to deal with, so I’m leaving”

He couldn’t provide any help here, and he really didn’t want to see Isaac and her doing the lovey dovey thing

Isaac held Brittany’s hand, feeling a bit lost. “You scared me. Don’t go out again; just rest in the hospital.”
