With his mind set on seeing Brittany, Daniel asked the driver to take him to the hospital right after kindergarten.
The driver refused to let him out of the car, so Daniel bat his big eyes, “Please, I want to eat the cupcakes from the shop across the street, could you get me some?”
The driver glanced over. It was not far. He could have made a quick trip.
“Alright, just wait here.”
Once the driver left, Daniel sneakily opened the car door, quickly darting into the hospital
The lobby was bustling, but the person he was looking for was nowhere to be found.
After waiting for a while, worried that the driver might be concerned, Daniel walked out of the hospital with his head down, feeling disappointed.
