“Why?!”
Elena was taken aback. They were in the middle of a collaboration, why would they cancel it all of a sudden?
“How would I know?” Mack exploded in frustration.
Just then, Finn walked in. Elena immediately approached him, concerned. He had left the hospital early in the morning and now he looked utterly drained.
“Finn, are you okay?”
Finn shook his head, “I’m fine.”
Mack looked at Finn’s miserable state and it only made him angrier. “What on earth are you playing at? You dumped Brittany for Patrina, and now you’re moping around like a lost puppy. Who are you trying to impress?”
Finn looked at him, resentment in his eyes. “If you all hadn’t deceived me, would I have treated Bri like that?”
Mack didn’t think he did anything wrong. After all, he was also in on the scheme back then..
“Patrina was the favorite, and marrying her would surely have its perks. Why are you still hung up on Brittany?” Mack was clearly annoyed. “But who could’ve seen this coming? You should cut ties with Patrina ASAP.”
They couldn’t possibly invite a woman who had lost her honor into their family!
“I won’t marry Patrina,” Finn said quietly. “I want to reconcile with Brittany.”
Mack frowned. “Are you out of your mind? Brittany is already married. Are you trying to be the third wheel? Besides, what good can she bring to you?”
Brittany wasn’t favored at home and had no power or influence. What was the point of marrying her?
Finn didn’t want to argue with his father, who only thought about benefits. He by passed him and headed upstairs.
Elena sighed. Everything was going so well, how did it end up like this?
The news about the engagement party spread far and wide, and the Shipleys came knocking. Their son was the idiot who ruined Patrina’s reputation.
Did Gianna think her daughter would settle for an idiot? She kicked them out and yelled angrily. “How could a fool like him be good enough for my daughter? Get lost! Stay away from my daughter or we’re calling the police and accusing your son of raping”

Patrina turned pale at the sight of the idiot, shaking all over. The thought of the dic k of this idiot inside her made her sick to her stomach!
The Shipleys were not to be trifled with. They pointed at Robert and threatened, “Robert, you were the one who wanted this marriage alliance. Now you want to back out, we’ll have to
cancel our collaboration.”
“Everyone knows your daughter slept with my son. Who else would want her now?”
Robert grimaced. He blamed everything on Brittany, never considering that if they hadn’t tried to manipulate her, none of this would’ve happened.
After getting rid of the Shipleys, Gianna held Patrina, crying her heart out. Her carefully nurtured daughter’s reputation was ruined. Even an idiot dared to propose marriage. How could she bear it?
“Patty, what will you do now? It’s all Brittany’s fault, that little bi tch! How could she plot against you?”
Patrina leaned on the bed. Her face was ashen. Hearing this, a cun ning light flickered in her
eyes.
Brittany was busy with her startup and didn’t have time to deal with family matters. On the other hand, Hannah offered a lot of information.
The Shipleys were canceling the collaboration. The Dustin family suffered a great setback. Patrina had been staying at home since she left the hospital, even leaving the socialite chat group she had joined before.
Brittany, on the other hand, had already settled down. She had no interest in the Dustin family’s
affairs.
In the second week of her startup, Brittany hired her first employee, a former junior, gentle and highly talented.
Her name was Kari.
“Brittany, thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you.”
Kari came from an average family. In her junior year, her family situation changed, and she had to drop out of school. Since then, she had been drawing design drafts for others.
