Seeing the maid panting heavily, Daniel handed her a candy from his pocket and said, “Wait for me here. I’ll be back when I’m done.”

Seeing him cry broke Brittany’s heart. She wiped his tears and pecked his cheek, “What did your dad lie about?”
“Dad said if I made a wish on the Ferris wheel, Mom would come back”
He rode it three times, maybe wished three times, but his mom never came back
Brittany’s heart ached. She held Daniel tight, her voice choked up, “Daniel, if your mom is still alive, she will come back.”
As long as someone was alive, they would come back.
But her Kyle Salter would never return.
He didn’t even get a chance to see the world before he died on the operating table. The culprit behind it all was Isaac!
Daniel snuggled in her embrace, clutching her blouse, sobbing softly.
Tired from crying, Daniel fell asleep in Brittany’s arms as they descended from the Ferris wheel.
He was still holding her hand tightly in his sleep. His desperate need for security made Brittany’s heartache.
Seeing him asleep, the maid approached, “Ms. Dustin, is Daniel tired?”
“Yes. Take him home. Be careful on the way” Brittany handed Daniel to the maid, “I’ll keep the pictures from the amusement park. Il give them to Daniel later.”
Grateful for Brittany’s care, the maid said, “Ms. Dustin, see you next time.”
Leaving the amusement park, Brittany felt a lump in her throat.
It wasn’t until dusk that she drove home. Her car was stopped before she could park.
The one who stopped her was Joie.
“Brittany, Bro Isaac is in the hospital because of you. How dare you show up?”
Joie couldn’t believe that after five years, Isaac was still in love with Brittany, even drinking himself sick over her!
Brittany closed the car door, “What does his hospitalization have to do with me?”

“Yes. Brittany, what does it matter if you know those things? I’m the apple of Grace’s eye now, I will be Bro Isaac’s wife sooner or later. Can you leave our lives for good?”
She was convinced that Brittany had no proof she was the one who saved Isaac back then.
If she did, she would have exposed her lie by now.
Brittany smirked, stepping closer to Joie.
For some reason, Joie felt a chill from Brittany and instinctively stepped back.
“I don’t want money.”
Brittany’s eyes showed a hint of sadness as she said, “As long as you get Isaac to give me back my son, I’ll leave immediately. Deal?”
