The assistant couldn’t hold it in anymore. Why Ms. Dustin wasn’t pissed off? Not even a little? 

Brittany continued sketching, “Why should I be angry? What she said was not true.” 

The assistant gasped. 

Most of the crew were all eyes, trying to get a glimpse of the secrets of the upper crust through Brittany and Joie. 

Some actors even sidled up to Brittany to ask if it was true. 

Brittany just smiled and didn’t say anything. That made the actors think that what Joie said was actually true. 

Soon, the whole crew was buzzing with excitement. 

Joie was over the moon. After that day’s shoot, she told her assistant to book a restaurant and invited the entire crew for dinner. 

This restaurant was considered high-end in Imperial City with a hefty price per head. 

Joie must’ve splashed out quite a lot feeding a crew of several hundred people. 

Word spread, and the whole crew was looking forward to it. 

Stella went to Brittany’s office after she finished shooting. Seeing her still working on her sketches, she asked, “Bri, are you launching a new product?” 

After joining the crew, Brittany rarely showed up; she spent most of her time working. 

Stella was very interested in her designs. They exchanged contacts and slowly, they became closer. 

“No, I’m just designing a wedding dress.” 

“A wedding dress?” Stella paused, “Are you getting married?” 

Everyone in Imperial City knew about Brittany’s boyfriend. 

Were they going to get married that soon? 

“No,” Brittany shook her head, “It’s for a friend who asked me to design it.” 

Her friend from abroad had asked for the wedding dress. 

The wedding was next month, so she had to finish the design this month, otherwise, it would affect the wedding. 

Stella let out a sigh of relief, “I thought you were getting married…” 

She walked up to Brittany, and she seemed to recall something, “There are a lot of rumors going around the crew lately, don’t you care?” Brittany shook her head, “You’ve been in the show business for so long so you should be more composed than me. It’s just rumors.” Joie only had these tricks up her sleeve. 

Stella was intrigued, “Have you ever considered joining the industry?” 

Brittany’s appearance was outstanding even in the industry. If she really joined, with that certain someone’s protection, her future would be bright. 

“No.” 

Brittany shook her head. She didn’t like the show business, nor did she ever consider joining. 

Stella didn’t seem upset by the rejection. 

There was a knock at the door. It was Stella’s bodyguard, Thomas. 

He was tall and straight, looking sullen but actually kinda fierce.. He brought Stella’s coat, “It’s getting late. We should head back.” Stella’s eyes flickered with a hint of displeasure. 

Brittany paused her sketching. Thomas seemed more like Stella’s boyfriend than just a bodyguard, she felt that way. 

Thomas was always by Stella’s side and stopped any men from getting too close. 

His boldness differentiated him from common bodyguards. 

Stella was a bit fiery, but she never got angry or even scolded Thomas, despite him constantly blocking her and even embarrassing her. Clearly, she allowed him to do so. 

With Thomas’ arrival, Stella lost interest in chatting with Brittany. She said her goodbyes and left. 

Thomas followed behind her. 

Back in her dressing room, Thomas closed the door and grabbed Stella’s hand, “What’s wrong?”

“Thomas, you always stop me from touching other men, and I put up with it. But now you’re even stopping me from seeing women?” Stella couldn’t hold it in anymore. 

Thomas bit his lip, “You’ve been under a lot of stress from shooting lately. I was worried you weren’t getting enough rest, and it would affect your 

work.” 

Stella rolled her eyes. Did she get enough rest when she was working nonstop on set in the past? 

Seeing her unhappy, Thomas gave in, “I won’t do it again.” 

Stella didn’t want to see his face like that. She walked up to him and cupped his waist, “This can’t happen again.” 

Suddenly, something changed in Thomas’ eyes. He wrapped his large hands around her waist, picked her up, and walked to the sofa; then he pressed her down and forced a kiss on her lips.
