Chapter 13 

“No need; I can handle it.” Allison’s face was as white as a sheet. She was gripping her dress tightly, refusing to let go. 

“Penelope!” The tense atmosphere was broken by Leah Flanagan–Eaden’s voice, calling from the doorway, “Lucian is here too? You guys 

are…” 

Lucian pulled his hands back, glanced at Allison, and said calmly. “Penelope’s dress got dirty. I was just helping her change.” 

“I’ll help her. I’ll fix Penelope’s makeup while I’m at it. Lucian, go downstairs and entertain the guests.” Leah Flanagan–Eaden said, blocking Lucian’s view of Allison. 

Lucian didn’t insist, and he turned around to leave. 

As soon as he left, the smile on Leah Flanagan–Eaden’s face faded. She slapped Allison hard across the face, “You poor little bitch, don’t forget your place. You’re just Penelope’s stand–in!” She dared flirt with Lucian when she wasn’t looking! Luckily, she caught it in time. 

Allison’s cheek stung, but she wasn’t in a position to argue. 

She sneered, “If the madam is so unsure about me, why bother letting me impersonate Miss Penelope?” 

“You dare talk back!” Leah Flanagan–Eaden glared at her. If it weren’t for her face, which looked so much like Penelope’s, how could she take such a risk? 

“It’s about time. I’ll take care of the rest. You change and leave through the back door of the hotel. I’ve arranged for someone to take you home.” Leah Flanagan–Eaden, holding back her anger, threw Allison’s original clothes at her. 

Allison didn’t resist. Lucian’s reaction just now was obviously off. She wasn’t sure if he had figured something out. 

She turned her back to Leah Flanagan–Eaden and changed into her own clothes. Meanwhile, Leah Flanagan–Eaden was staring at her back and was deep in thought. 

When the wedding was about to end, Allison quietly got into a car to leave the hotel. 

Her mission was completed. After tonight, she would have nothing to do with Lucian. 

At that moment, Leah Flanagan–Eaden and Christopher were rushing to the hospital. 

Leah Flanagan–Eaden looked at her daughter, who was still unconscious in the hospital bed, stomping her feet in anger. Her useless daughter had caused such a mess at such a crucial time. The engagement party was over, but she still hadn’t woken up! 

Christopher asked the doctor, “Doctor, when will my daughter wake up?” 

“Your daughter is allergic to alcohol. She should wake up by tomorrow. You’ll have to convince her not to be so reckless in the future.” 

It would be good if she could wake up tomorrow. 

Leah Flanagan–Eaden breathed a sigh of relief and immediately took out some money to tip the doctor.

“Yes, you can rest assured!” 

In the dilapidated little clinic, Margo hung up the phone and turned to Allison, who was tied to the bed, “Bitch, did you hear all that? Are you going to let us do it the easy way, or are you going to resist?” 

Allison never expected that Leah Flanagan–Eaden would be so cunning. 

Just because she saw her back and remembered the scar left by a burn on Penelope’s back not long ago, she wanted to leave the same scar on her body!
