Chapter 23 

Lucian’s body was rigid and his eyes gradually darkened. In his vision, Allison’s fingers were like soft vines that gripped his neck lightly at the moment of eruption.

When Allison woke up, she was sore all over. 

She looked in surprise at herself and Lucian, both naked in bed. What happened last night was as clear as day.

Lucian stood up, picked up his clothes from the floor, and put them on, frowning deeply. 

Suddenly, he saw the burned–out incense on the bedside table.

eyes narrowed instantly, and he violently grabbed Allison’s delicate neck, “Was this your doing?” 

“No… no…” Allison’s throat was choked. She shook her head frantically. 

She didn’t!! 

Lucian’s face was icy. The blanket fell off, revealing the scars on her back, which only fueled his anger. 

The same place and the same scars. No wonder he couldn’t control himself last night. Apart from the effects of the incense, he had mistaken her for Penelope! 

Lucian let go of her harshly, “You better not mention this to anyone. If Penelope finds out, I will not spare you! I can make you disappear from Northfield!” 

He was shocked. Penelope was right. Allison was just a vain woman who used such despicable means to get close to him.

Allison was violently thrown aside and landed on the bed. Her throat was uncomfortable; she coughed violently, and her body ached unbearably. She clutched the thin blanket tightly. 

Lucian finished dressing and picked up a towel to wipe his right hand that had just grabbed her neck, feeling disgusted. He then threw the towel on the floor, stepping on it ruthlessly with his leather shoes before striding away. 

Allison was freezing and trembling uncontrollably. 

When Lucian grabbed her just now, the chill in his eyes pierced her soul. It was as if he could really make her “disappear” as he had said. She hastily dressed and fook a taxi home. She rushed into the bathroom to wash off the traces on her body, but the kiss marks just wouldn’t wash off. 

Allison hugged herself, squatting under the shower, with tears silently falling. 

If the first time she willingly went to his bed was for her mother, then what about this time? 

What on earth happened this time?
