Lucian shed his suit jacket, tossed it to the servant, and ascended the stairs.

Carter sighed softly, “The current public opinion is not in favor of our family. I want to know your thoughts.”

no concrete information yet. It’s evident that the perpetrator had been planning this for a long time.” Lucian said. 

Zachary asked, “What’s their motive? To harm Miranda? But what good does harming Miranda do them? If they really wanted to hurt us, they would be better off targeting me!” 

Lucian raised his eyes slightly, voicing his own speculation, “What if the perpetrator targeted Penelope from the start?” 

Carter asked, “Lucian, are you suggesting that this person had been planning to harm Penelope all along?” 

“Grandpa, my mother has power. If the perpetrator was truly aiming for our family, they wouldn’t target my mother. The Lindberg family has many enemies indeed, but why would they target Miranda, who rarely goes out and has no power? Maybe we’ve been misled from the start, and their real target isn’t Miranda, but Penelope.” Lucian said.
