Allison didn’t leave tonight. She opened her eyes in the middle of the night. 

Looking at his prominent nose, she slowly reached out and touched his cheek. The next second, his hand gripped hers. Allison was taken aback. She thought she had woken him up. But a few seconds later, hearing his steady breathing, she realized that Lucian was still asleep. It was just a subconscious reaction.

Sometimes, Allison only had one scene in a day to accommodate Megan’s schedule. 

This week, Allison didn’t see Cathy. The scenes involving her were directed by the assistant director, Conrad.

Yara was the supporting female lead, the obstacle between the male and female leads, and grew up with the male lead. The role was played by Mia, who was a breakout star from a girl group earlier this year. This morning, they mainly shot scenes between her and Mia. Mia was straightforward in character, with a cool and hip–hop–inspired dance style, often dressing in a hip–hop fashion. The character of Yara was entirely different from Mia’s real–life personality.

After one take, Mia wiped the sweat off her face, “This character is so hard to play. Allison, you should be the one playing Yara. She’s a pretty girl who grew up with the male lead. I don’t fit this role at all. I hope the audience won’t bash me when the show airs.” 

Allison laughed, “You just did great. I usually see you with dreadlocks and dyed hair in photos, completely different from just now. But I don’t think you’re mismatched with the role at all. We are meant to push our boundaries.” 

Mia took a sip of water and said somewhat awkwardly, “I don’t act often. This is a script arranged by the company. I hadn’t heard of you before, Allison, but we know each other now. I think you’re a beautiful and talented actress. You’re with Epic Entertainment, right? It’s a big company. The female lead in this drama is also from Epic Entertainment. They invested so much in it, why did they only give you a supporting role?”
