With slightly reddened eyes, Allison displayed a faint smile. She stood up unsteadily. The scent of red wine was strong, but it also made her a bit dizzy. She walked barefoot on the carpet. Gracefully, she spun around like a ballerina for a few turns. Then, she closed her eyes and lay down on the carpet
She wished that when she opened her eyes again, everything would be as if it never happened. She didn’t want to be Leah’s daughter anymore. She wished she could go back 11 years and stop Joshua and Ricky from leaving, warning them of the possible danger.

Mina called and Rosie answered. On the other line, Mina invited Daisy to dinner at the Boswell family’s.

Daisy looked at herself in the mirror and decided to change. The dress, though fresh-looking, seemed a bit casual. She picked up a red dress, compared it, and then picked a coffee-colored dress. Finally, she chose the coffee-colored dress.
Rosie saw her daughter’s/smile, “Daisy, if you don’t want to…”
Her words were cut off by Daisy, “I do.”
Her eyes were filled with smile. She was willing to go to the Boswell family and marry Frances.
At 7:20 pm, Daisy arrived at the Boswell family’s door. Ava was waiting at the door, “Ms. Daisy, please come in. Mina ordered the kitchen to prepare lots of dishes today.”
Mina was painting on the terrace. Daisy approached, and Mina, without turning around, slowly asked, “Daisy, have you made up your mind?”
Daisy lowered her head, feeling a bit nervous. She knew what Mina was asking. Mina hoped that she would marry Frances and then spy on him, reporting his every
move.
“Mina, I’m just an ordinary person. I don’t want to get involved in the Boswell family feud, and besides, given Frances’ current health, he can’t be your enemy. Why…”
-Mina laughed after hearing this, “So, you’re rejecting me?”

Daisy was caught in a dilemma. She thought Mina would be furious about her refusal, but she wasn’t. Mina just continued painting quietly, “Daisy, I always thought you were a smart girl.”

Mina invited her to dinner with a smile. Daisy heaved a sigh of relief and followed. Mina seemed reasonable after all.
In the dining room, the head chef was explaining today’s menu. The table was filled with gourmet dishes and elegant tableware. There were four main courses, two soups, two side dishes, and a dessert.
Daisy quietly ate her meal. Occasionally, Mina asked questions, and Daisy answered each one. After dinner, Mina told Daisy, “You go and take this fruit cake to Frances.”
Daisy nodded.
She picked up the tray, excitedly heading upstairs. She was obviously thrilled to see Frances.
At the third floor, John looked at her and said, “Mr Frances is resting.”
It was already 8 pm.
Daisy asked with the tray in her hand, “Has he already gone to bed?”
She seemed a bit disappointed. “Then I’ll leave for now.” Just as she turned to leave, the door opened from inside, and Frances stood in the doorway. He was wearing a set of grey pajamas, the collar slightly open, revealing his pale and thin collarbone.
