Mr. Sears of Epic Entertainment was all eyes. He asked his assistant, “Who is this actress? How come I’ve never seen her before?” 

The assistant replied, “She seems to be a newcomer, named Allison, managed by Patty.” 

Mr. Sears nodded, a greasy smile on his face. “Patty’s got a good eye.” His gaze lingered on Allison until she sat down at a table in the back, then he instructed his assistant, “Find an opportunity to bring Allison to my desk. I want to personally evaluate this new talent.” 

The assistant responded with a knowing smile, “Yes sir.”

Allison glanced at the screen. It was a text from Lucian. “Meet me in lounge 09.” 

Allison rose from her seat. “Can you postpone the interviews for me?” 

Emma seemed to understand what was happening. She knew Allison had a powerful backer but didn’t know who. As Allison’s agent, she wouldn’t pry. She trusted Allison unconditionally. “Sure.” Emma nodded. 

Postponing interviews was a big no-no for a newcomer, it could be written up as diva behavior by the ruthless media. Immediately, she called Paige to help smooth things over. They sent some “gifts” to the waiting media. “Allison is feeling a bit under the weather, so she’ll need some time before she can do the interviews.” 

Generous gifts and Emma’s charming smile were enough to keep the media happy. 

Lounge 09. 

The moment Allison walked in, a man’s arms wrapped around her. “Who allowed you to dress like this?” 

“Don’t I look good?” Allison spun around. Under the dim lights, her skin looked like it was coated with a layer of glaze, making Lucian swallow hard. 

It was because she looked too good, that he disapproved. 

They shared a passionate kiss by the window when his phone began to ring. Lucian glanced at the caller ID. His eyes darkened, but he didn’t answer immediately. 

Allison, however, caught a glimpse of the caller’s name. 

‘Kayleigh’ 

Maybe it was because she’d heard some gossip about Lucian and Kayleigh earlier that the name struck a chord. 

Knowing him, if it were a work-related call, he wouldn’t ignore it in front of her. His silence could only mean one thing, he didn’t want to answer in front of her. 

Women’s intuition was always spot on. When Lucian prepared to leave, Allison wrapped her arms around his neck, standing on tiptoe to kiss him. She pushed him onto the 

couch. 

Lucian’s voice was hoarse. “Allison, I have things to do.” 

“I need your help too,” she replied, biting Lucian’s throat gently. 

His eyes darkened. He clenched his fists. “Allison!” 

Allison stirred up his desires this time! 

He turned the tables, pinning her beneath him. His phone fell to the floor, still ringing, but he ignored it. 

Half an hour later, Allison emerged from the lounge. Her clothes were still respectable, just a little crumpled here and there. 

She called Emma. It was time for the interviews. Emma noticed the creases on Allison’s clothes and seemed to understand something. 

Allison reapplied her lipstick and started answering questions from several media outlets. The most common question was whether she’d be in Wade’s new movie 

Allison didn’t give a definite answer. She just smiled and said, “You’ll just have to wait and see.”
