Chapter 1344

Dorian sprinted over, his little hands pushing against Susan’s leg with all his might. Tilting his head back and sticking out his neck, he shouted up at her, “Don’t you dare talk smack about my dad in front of my mom!”

From out of nowhere, Elowen produced a raw egg and, with a flick of her wrist, pelted it squarely onto Susan’s face. The egg exploded, covering Susan’s face in a gooey mess.

Hands on her hips, Elowen scowled and warned in a feisty tone, “Bad lady, beat it or I’ll keep serving you eggs!”

Susan shivered as the egg dripped down her cheeks, raising a hand to wipe the mess from her face and revealing a twisted, furious expression. She glared down at the children.

“You little brats asking for trouble, throwing eggs at my face! You’re just like your mothers, tossed aside by men and left with nothing but trouble!”

“Shut your mouth!”

“Smack!”

Overcome by a surge of hatred and fueled by her grief, Thalassa’s body, previously weakened by sorrow, now surged with anger and strength. She rushed forward and slapped Susan right across the face.  sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Find_Nøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

The slap sent Susan staggering backward, her head snapping to the side. Her ears rang, her mind went blank.

Her face, smeared with egg, bore the angry red imprint of Thalassa’s hand, twisted in anger like a grotesque mask.

Susan turned, her eyes blazing with fury at Thalassa, her chest heaving with rage. manicured nails, sharp as talons, reached out menacingly towards Thalassa.

Thalassa was already drained by the pain of Evelyn’s loss. She had used up her last reserves of energy with that slap.

Now, her limp body was on the verge of collapse. As Susan lunged at her, she saw Susan’s sharp claws aiming for her throat, ready to tear into her flesh and leave her bleeding.

She was too weak to even step back.

Just as Susan’s hands reached for her throat, Thalassa closed her eyes.

But then, a cold but familiar scent filled the air, and the expected pain never came. Thalassa’s eyes flew open.

Lysander was standing before her, blocking Susan’s advance. He gripped Susan’s wrist,

stopping her in her tracks.

His presence was commanding, his angular face stern and authoritative.

The moment Thalassa saw him, her heart ached, each breath sharp as a blade.

“Who do you think you’re going to kill?” His voice was cold and full of menace.

“Lysander, I…uh…” Susan’s vicious expression melted away as she saw him. She scrambled for words to defend herself, but before she could speak, she was kicked away by Lysander.

She was sent flying, landing on the ground like a rag doll, her body aching as if it had fallen apart. She winced, then crawled towards Lysander, desperate to explain herself, “Lysander, I was just trying to scare her, I didn’t really mean to kill her. Lysander, I did it for you. Remember, when Thalassa wanted to take you out, I was the one who saved was ready to die for you. Can’t you see my devotion?”
